As soon as we hit play on this new jam our hairstyles spontaneously bloomed into glorious afros and we all of a sudden knew how to do the funky chicken. Guess that’s just the effect The Sponges have on mere mortals.

Funkier than an episode of Seinfeld, Jerry Brain is absolutely jam packed with The Sponges signature cuts, synths, funky fills and cheeky samples. Energy’s at an all-time high on this one as the funky wunderkinds Nik and Ryan whip out the guitar, strutting through what has got to be the funkiest breakdown of all time.

It's amazing to have the duo back with the BOC fam. To be honest we here at BOC needed a break from them what with all the heat they’ve been delivering to us here at the label. We agreed to see other people for a while, but we just couldn’t stay away.

It’s time to rekindle this magical relationship, and Jerry Brain might truly be what brings us back together.

Breakbeat Paradise Recordings is back with another star-packed release &ndash; this time from discObeta, who has teamed up with some heavy hitters on the remix front for a funky slice of hip-hop breaks.discObeta has served up 2 epic funk fused originals and call on Fort Knox Five, Ross Go, Mined &amp; Forrest, BadboE &amp; Pecoe to get busy on some remixes.
Starting off with the title tune Down The Block which showcases discObeta&rsquo;s low-slung funky sounds with some well picked classic vocal hooks and smooth electro basslines. Fort Knox Five is coming in hot on the remix of Down The Block with an upbeat dancefloor twist to the original. They get the absolute best out of the vocal hooks while making it their own on by infusing their classic funky Fort Knox Five vibes that they are known and loved for. Ross Go is getting busy while diving into the classic goldmine of samples and serves up a fun and upbeat alternative to the original.
On the flip side we dive into some serious street vibes and big flows on the Yoobie Doo joint. Original cut gives more of the low-slung goodness from discObeta while Mined &amp; Forrest adds some well picked glitch and atmosphere to the equation. Label head honcho and funky breaks veteran BadboE gives Yoobie Doo a glitchy boom bap twist before Pecoe ending things off on a funky breaks tip with his uptempo funky remix.

CiF 30 Stabfinger – Get on The Floor

Get on The Floor! A common command related to a bank heist or routine traffic stop from a US policeman. Luckily for us, there’s no violence involved with Stabfingers EP title. Well, maybe some violent hip thrusts to some of the funkiest sound designs ever heard. Sound like your vibe? Please read on….

The Prophet – Stabfinger is regarded as an inspired proclaimer of fresh bangers, so the track title is more than relevant. This joint oozes funk, propelled by a horn section and bass line that demands head nods.

Straight after that, he hit’s you with “Chaka & Will”. Joined by his homie K.D.S this house/disco banger fuses two-floor fillers while adding new elements to the mix making it an instant staple for DJ sets.

Stabfinger high fives K.D.S and welcomes Keylox on this next collaboration named “Crunchy Banger.” It does what it says on the tin. Keeping the BPM on the house tempo, they bring vocals in to compliment the various synths and bass lines resulting in a guaranteed mosh pit.

Lastly the title track “Get on The Floor” finishes you off with that classic house flow. Seasoned with synths, horns drum fills and vocals to bring you back into 2022 with a bang!

We’re solid Stabfinger fans here at CiF and we think this could be his finest release to date! You heard what he said…. Get on The Floor!

Cuttin' It Fine are proud to present Swim Inc & Kenny Beeper Marble garble.

This EP has been on the cards since Swim INC won the Crash Party remix contest a few years back and his production skills have gone strength to strength since. Meaning, that now his bass lines can officially make the elderly defecate when played through a reasonable sound system. Luckily, he’s medically trained, and this kind of occurrence doesn’t faze him.

Being down under and skilled with glitchy sound design, it was only right he teamed up with Cuttin’ It Fines man-mountain Kenny Beeper. Powers combined, these two have managed to cook up 3 delicious neck-snapping melodies that will blow speakers and entice mosh pits wherever they are played. However, this EP does come with a warning. Any DJ doing sets at retirement homes best be packing some wet wipes, because it’s about to get messy!
