I've met Femke at Salon a couple of months ago. She was sharing the decks with Philipp Otterbach and one other chap whose name i forgot ; oops ; Since then I am hooked with every output of the self called daughter of darkness. Here is a great hour of gloomy dub, far east'ish drum mental loops and sonic hallucinations from Femke Dekker aka Loma Doom. 

Here is her description of the mix :

"Droney spheres by the daughter of darkness Loma Doom, this mix is an edit of various live recorded sets in the past couple of months. Layering dark ambient, left field percussion and experimental metal, she takes you on a journey through sweltering summer swamps."

The latest Phase Group mix is delivered by T.V.S.T.   

T.V.S.T. lives in Berlin where he keeps himself busy presiding over the excellent Kashual Plastik label, booking for one of Berlin’s havens for outsider, experimental and electronic music, Arkaoda and making music in outfits such as Inkasso, primitive structures, Edition D'Art and Crude Fact.   

His Phase Group mix takes us on a moonlit walk marked by voices and emotions. From lo-fi DIY tape songs through outsider folk and smoky melancholic psychedelia via lurching and whirring percussion and industrial experiments. This one will pull on the heartstrings and excite the mind.

This episode is presented by MDHL who have previously released music under the name Mount Analogue and have been with Sunken Rock Recordings since its inception in 2015. It is a mixture of Swedish contemporary and past, both with elements of jazz, house and new age. MDHL describes the mix as those records that inspire him to make music himself, rather than bangers for a wider audience. An intimate hour with two own unreleased compositions in an ongoing collaboration between MDHL and a clarinetist - "in a meeting between acoustic and electronic instruments". The last track, with Samo DJ and rapper Kamo from South Africa, is also an upcoming release on his recently started label Öhr Research Technologies.

Our next Editorial mix comes from the Australian musician @andraaaaaas (aliases Art Wilson and Wilson Tanner). Andras’ soft, new age albums Overworld, and 69, have served as psychological panacea in the past years at Editorial HQ. Haunted by the ghosts of Pioneer media players past, Andras comes to us with a recording laden with secret sounds, strings and digital overtones. The mix contains two improvisations by the seventy-eight year old American photographer William Eggleston and two songs by soundtrack composer Simon Fisher Turner. The Stars of the Lid appear in forward and reverse, mainly to emphasize the sound of a Staffordshire Bull Terrier whimpering. Listen to this sweeping collection of tunes below.
