As he entered he cast his eyes around the room, taking in a mirage of flickering colours and luminous buttons. He had been travelling for what had felt like a lifetime through the dense and murky undergrowth in search of the mysterious cavern. Now as he sat perched upon the rubble he truly knew his purpose.

The walls were paved with silver and gold. The cave dimly illuminated by a thin hazy light - this would be his guide through the small hours to follow. Smoke billowed in the corner of the room, casting off a haze which was sweet and sticky to the senses.

One by one he flicked each switch, a throbbing current pulsed beneath the dense rocky structure as the frame of the cave echoed and rumbled into life. The walls began to shake beneath the strain of the sound, the noise echoing between wires, between tunnels and into the very core of the cave as the pressure increased. He was now one with the space and sound - connected by the very DNA of such a wild and wondrous place.

In the morning, as the sun rose in the distance, he would unearth himself. He’d return to reality and much as it pained him he would vanish. The noise of the night, the sound of the cave still playing in his mind.

Hiber-nation EP was Recorded at Siesta Delfauno, Buenos Aires, Argentina in December 2019. A place steeped in history and that has seen artists like Carl Craig , DJ Hell and Rob Acid grace its halls. Ara-u worked alongside engineer and member of Argentinian electronic band Klauss Pablo Gil, while getting lost in red wine and deep into the jam amongst a mix of analogue machines. Since appearing on the scene in 2018, 21 year old False Persona has been pushing aggressive, high energy electro and techno non-stop for the most part of 3 years.

Although a fresh face, the Bournemouth-based producer has been self taught music production and DJing since the age of 13, and after spending years learning the crafts of different styles of music under a multitude of aliases, his sound as an artist definitely serves as a hybrid of genres.

With tracks on labels such as International Chrome, Typeless, Dionysian Mysteries and more over the past couple of years, False Persona has a lot of exciting bits on the way to keep your eyes peeled for...

f we could describe LUZ1E's music with one word, it would certainly be "eclectic". Having drawn influence from her brother's collection of Chicago and New York House, the Frankfurt-born producer has learnt to manifest her learnings into a fresh take on the seminal sound. Following her success on labels such as Lobster Theremin, Shall Not Fade, Goddess Music, we are very excited to present her four track EP for VOITAX - Radical Optimism. The opener "Transition" lays down LUZ1E's law, featuring headstrong drum work, matched with equally menacing bass arpeggios. If the theme of apocalypticism wasn't obvious enough from the opening track's looming pads, it will become apparent with "Electronic Warfare". Served up on electro's trustworthy chassis, we watch the distorted arpeggios unfold as the tension of the pads guide us to an dystopian finale. On the flip, the title track "Radical Optimism" uses shrill pad pressure to break the track's dreamy opening sequence - as the modulating bass provides plenty of frequencies for the dance floor. The closing track, "Emotional Intelligence" provides a candid looking glass into the producer's musical influences. LUZ1E's knack for emotive pads furnish the track's uplifting structure with class, as breaks and bass deliver us to a tender climax.

STHL (previously Southall) began DJing in 2019 as part of the Adventures in Nightlife collective in Exeter, who together throw a range of parties for Exeter's small but lively underground music scene. 
A soon regular on Exeter's underground roster, STHL was involved in supporting heavyweight DJs including Umfang and Nite Fleit, as well as involvement in Hijack the Castle festival. 

More recently, he has begun producing and recently released music on Planetaria Soundsystem and Hyperdome. New to production, STHL is still exploring his sound and aims to release music more regularly in 2021.
