Following their first ‘DJ TOYS’ compilation, that was celebrated by DJ Mag, played at Berghain several times and drew support from DJs like Âme, Avalon Emerson, Barker, Baumecker and Ben Sims, queer feminist party collective and record label TOYS Berlin are back with their second ‘DJ TOYS’ installment. Representing the boundary-pushing sound spectrum of the TOYS universe, up-and-coming producers DAEDE, Eklekta, ASA 808, Jon Selbo, Jakob Mäder and OSO are transcending UK bass/garage, Trance and House in five forward-thinking underground gems.

This fast-paced, synth-driven track is a strong blend of energy and emotion. Troubleshoot Recordings co-founder Jon Selbo weaves together intricate layers of synthesized chords, driving baselines with ethereal vocal snippets that elevate the track, whilst adding layers of depth. Born in Italy and based in Berlin, DHÆÜR has been shaping his sound since 2021. He operates from his studio at Funkhaus Berlin, where he creates immersive music that fuses hypnotic synths with primal rhythms. In 2024, he made his mark with the EP ‘Circle’ on No Signal Record, followed by releases such as ‘Dig-Curated 001,’ ‘Supercinema 005,’ and the Token Fuga V compilation. His DJ sets at Tresor in Berlin, Leveslang in Amsterdam, and Eerste Communie are renowned for taking listeners on deep sonic journeys.

Born in 1980 and raised in the Detroit area, Luke Hess has harnessed a deep appreciation for electronic music and the expression of the underground movement. His background in mathematics and engineering has given him a scientific approach to the dance floor, using frequencies, tones, and soundscapes to transform surroundings and mood. 

His faith based music production has landed him numerous vinyl releases (EP's, LP's, and remixes) on labels like Planet-e, Rekids, FXHE, Echocord, Kontra-Musik, Dolly, Finale Sessions, Ornaments, and Prime Numbers among others. His debut album was
released in early May 2009 by Denmark based label Echocord.

 In 2010 he began his own interpretation of Detroit techno with his Detroit project and record label - DeepLabs. His sophomore
album “Keep On” was released on FXHE records in 2012 and received a Recommended 4.5/5 rating on Resident Advisor. 

With 20 years of DJ experience, he is regarded as a perfectionist behind the decks layering his tracks in a very detailed and hypnotic manner. Luke has played at many notable venues and festivals in Europe, Asia, Australia, and North America including numerous appearances at the illustrious Berghain/Panoramabar in Berlin. Luke’s continued hard work in the studio and as a music collector/curator combined with his unyielding interest in technology and sound will no doubt stimulate the boundaries of electronic music.
