By its nature, an outlier stands apart. Yet, while mapping out a sonic terrain that is distinctly his own, this Irish native has found a home on revered labels including Naïf, Soul Music People and Appian Sounds. A resident DJ at the Astral Industries nights in London, he moves effortlessly between gnostic techno trips and ambient sets that tunnel deep into the unconscious.

Across his sets and productions, he draws on a sound palette that includes everything from coarse-hewn drone and immersive field recordings to oblique percussive interventions and coruscating synths. Whatever the context, his enigmatic soundscapes are always dense in atmosphere and delivered with poise, making for journeys that are as cerebral as they are ritualistic.

The year 2021 will see the release of his debut album, the launch of his dubplate series of dance-floor edits and the beginnings of his Titrate label, which will be an outlet for drone, live recordings and spatial sound experiments.

Everyone at some point in their existence experiences a critical moment in their busy life where big decisions can lead to big change, both at work and in life. A turning point that make your life never be the same again. A new you, a new us.

David is a die-hard record collector who has been playing them around the North of Spain and Europe for more than 15 years now. Since three years ago he's more focused on Escala de Grisos, his monthly radio show on a local station, where he plays and discuss about ambient, techno and anything in between as well as making some interviews.

David has recorded the following mix with that feeling of knowing that something huge is about to change in his life, just like what happened at .apart in a way. Hence the name translated into Catalan :)

A magnificent true personal musical journey where he captures with great sense and extreme delicacy a long list of antonyms such as fear-hope, uncertainty-desire…

To sum up overall, David shares the following poem:

Our podcast series continues, this month’s story is told by Utopian. 

Southern Spaniard from Jaén, Isidro is a storyteller in favor of deep long journeys. His particular style can be described as the commingling of ambient with incursions into dub and experimental music as well as tribal textures. Today’s session is a landscape of different feelings and textures combining old gems with modern organic sounds. 

‘ I always try to make something special and craft something as personal as possible with harmonious and smooth transitions. At the moment, I am obsessed with mixing at 80-90 bpm because I believe you can achieve higher degrees of intensity despite the low speed. I am in the constant process of exploring the possibilities of mixing music so who knows what I’ll be playing next? ‘

"Saebius (@saebiusmusic), the mysterious Marseille based young talent draws on a wide range of stylistic influences from Radiohead to Monolake. It led him to produce his own ambient and techno sound based on atmospheres and rhythms.  After 6 years experimenting sound design he finally released his first promising EP in 2017 on Lowless called Water Memories. He received good support from the scene. It was the occasion to share for the first time his singular hypnotic and melancholic signature. His second appearance on the label as remixer in the Four Sides of Orithyia released in November 2018. This offered him more visibility and support from actors like the respected Monument media. It naturally drove him into some other projects in 2019/2020 with an EP release on Ritualism (@ritualism-records) and  his Lifeform LP on Agos Universe (@agardenofsound). In 2022 Saebius released "Lurk in The Water" for the famous compilation "Rhizome" on Lowless (@lowless-music) and a new album is already scheduled on this same label in 2023".
