I've been slowly chipping away at the next HardSpeed album. There's a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes with this project which I can't share. For now, what I can share is this track! Imagine a slowly filling lake in the desert, fed by an ice asteroid chained to the planet itself. Now imagine Capel running around there and bonking various things with her staff.

Choushinsei Flashman Theme (Sega Genesis Remake)

I've been playing Breath of the Wild recently (it's so good <3), and I fell in love with Kakariko Village. The atmosphere is beautifully warm, and every person you meet has something meaningful to them. It really feels like an alive place, with an ancient history and traditions! So I wrote this track trying to convey that image...and to test a cool erhu VST I recently found (the erhu is a traditional Chinese string instrument with a very peculiar sound, which is also featured in BotW music).

Ancient Tales

Finally got a little time to poke at an EC track! This one is to replace an older tune in the first season, which I wasn't pleased with. This song plays in the chimera village hidden away deep in the mountains of Celestion's northern half. As those who have betaread the story know, many important revelations come about here.  This song is actually split into two sections, an "A" section made up of two parts that plays when the group is first settling in to stay in the village, and a "B" section that plays during said revelations. I wrapped both up into a single file for this upload, though. [/confusing rambling]

Oh hey, some Elancia chronicles music! This is another take on one of the themes from the second Elancia Chronicles album. A certain revelation near the end of the book re contextualizes everything that came before it. 

Verse has to deal with disasters both natural and supernatural while dealing with what's going on with her head, and the new friends by her side (well... 'friends' in some cases.) She got her happy ending, but it isn't what she expected, and her story is only just beginning.   

I did this as a homage to Soundteam JDK who work on the Falcom games. I'm absolutely in love with the Trails in the Sky series, and wanted to do something in that style for the Elancia Chronicles series. Anyway, enough outta me! Enjoy!

Emotion Field

Longtime listeners might remember this song. It's back from the dead with a shiny new coat of paint! I'm thinking I may want to extend it a little, but I sat on it for a long time trying to figure out if I actually wanted to or not, and decided I'd just go ahead and upload it, so here it is.  The most far-flung villages in the Kerlynzian Empire are out on the frontier -- a land of gun fighters, harsh climate, star junk, and even gold. Many an Imperial citizen has moved out this way in search of a better life...
This should be appearing on my third Elancia album, due out next winter.
