Coming in hot, episode 008 takes the listener on a journey through Bush Tech and Melodic House with an important message: I can't save you.  That's the title of the first track and also happens to be a lesson I learned, you must save yourself. Experience is a cruel teacher.  It is so important to hit record before you start your set.  If you arrived early, track 1 isn't there yet, but I will fix that in time (done).  This set was recorded live outdoors at Post Canyon in Hood River, OR.   Adventuring is my passion and being able to play music in crystal clear quality in my favorite environments has been a dream come true.  On this weekend filled with love, friends, kiteboarding, and good music I realized I have become my own hero.  I wanted the music I love to be played in the places I go doing the things I enjoy.  A gift I gave myself on my 40th birthday included array satellite speakers, 18-inch woofer, and a generator.  With these tools in hand I was able to share this music in the way it was meant to be listened to.  Birds of a feather flock together and the sound drew in some new friends.  The intensity at the start of the set excites, but it is the chill tracks coming down the line that will keep you listening.  This one finishes off very nicely. 

This setlist is a deep, emotional, and progressive sonic journey, drawing from the worlds of melodic techno, progressive house, and ambient electronica. It weaves together brooding, club-ready tension with lush atmospheres and cinematic resolve - perfect for a sunset-to-afterhours set or introspective dancefloor experience.

If art decorates space, music decorates time. As a DJ-this is just a hobby-my goal in recording sets is to create a soundtrack to life: theme music for my adventures. I embrace an inclusive approach to genres, refusing to limit myself to any specific style; my broad taste allows me to explore many types of music, ensuring a unique experience for every set.

These sets take the listener on a journey-not my journey, but yours. It could be a voyage in your mind or a hike with headphones on. I am just a messenger who curates a selection of songs created by very talented producers.

Sometimes, the tracks I select resonate with the emotions I am feeling. Other times, I read the room, and my goal is to create an enjoyable experience for the audience. Often, I discover a new favorite track that really slaps, and I include it in a set so I can enjoy it fully, along with complementary tracks leading up to the new favorite, guiding the listener back into Earth's orbit afterward.

Recently, I crafted "Dan's Radio 008" as a thoughtful gift, featuring a favorite track, "I Can't Save You," alongside my personal favorite, "Salve in the Mist." This mix isn't just about the music; it’s a harmonious bridge that captures my creativity and passion.
