Dan’s Radio episode 12 was recorded live at an unofficial After Earth afterparty, camping out in Rufus, OR with close friends after the Stonehenge gathering. Just under four hours long, the set starts out as people are settling into the site after an epic show.  With no predetermined setlist, I played what I wanted to hear, and after making some observations of the listeners, I started the deep progressive house journey. This one takes winding things down to a new level. The last 30 minutes shift into extremely chill tracks, and the set closes with ambient soundscapes, “mindful water flow”, a gentle descent meant to ease the night into rest.

If art decorates space, music decorates time. As a DJ-this is just a hobby-my goal in recording sets is to create a soundtrack to life: theme music for my adventures. I embrace an inclusive approach to genres, refusing to limit myself to any specific style; my broad taste allows me to explore many types of music, ensuring a unique experience for every set.

These sets take the listener on a journey-not my journey, but yours. It could be a voyage in your mind or a hike with headphones on. I am just a messenger who curates a selection of songs created by very talented producers.

Sometimes, the tracks I select resonate with the emotions I am feeling. Other times, I read the room, and my goal is to create an enjoyable experience for the audience. Often, I discover a new favorite track that really slaps, and I include it in a set so I can enjoy it fully, along with complementary tracks leading up to the new favorite, guiding the listener back into Earth's orbit afterward.

Recently, I crafted "Dan's Radio 008" as a thoughtful gift, featuring a favorite track, "I Can't Save You," alongside my personal favorite, "Salve in the Mist." This mix isn't just about the music; it’s a harmonious bridge that captures my creativity and passion.
