Recebemos no vol. dessa semana do nosso podcast o Dj Anachuri. Residente da conceitual festa Lust e do Velvet Pub, tem uma pesquisa influenciada pela sonoridade dos anos 90 e nos presenteou com um set recheado de acid e garage house, numa pegada super fina e dançante.

We had a couple of days of sun in Berlin recently, so I recorded a new mix, a bit dancier/happier than usual, but also with some breakbeats, poetry, and nostalgia of what could have been in these times that fail to enchant. The mix - no magical bewitching - mastered electronically, was recorded live and is unedited.

The craziest girl in the block is throwing the best and more tasteful parties in Brussels, such as the « Queer Future Club » , the « PINK NIGHT » : Pink Screens Film Festival closing party, “ Electronic Solidarity ”, « Dance Resurrection ” and previously  “ Bénédiction - Rituels Exceptionnels  ” is also a Kiosk Radio and C12 resident.

Her unlimited “power of love” brings the partygoers into an incredible trip through the music. Producer, keyboardist, DJ, and sound engineer, this multi-talented artist has performed in the best international venues like : Dour Festival (be), Concrete (fr),  Wanderlust (fr), Kalt (fr), Petit Bain (fr), C12 (be), Horst (be), Couleur Café (be), Listen Festival (be), La Machine du Moulin Rouge (fr) Bruxelles les bains (be) , Le Botanique (be)...

Using synthesizers and analog drum machines orchestrated by numeric controllers. Azo makes a heavy and modern fusion of Acid, Techno, Rave, inherited from the Uk hardcore and the Detroit techno era..
Azo benefits of a rising popularity and support from various labels and artists  playing and playlisting her tracks. Her « Infinity EP with  Oton was nominated to the Redbull Elektropedia Awards 2020.

There are DJs, and then there are DJ’s DJ's.

Julien Veniel, artist name D’Julz, is undoubtedly one of the latter - a true craftsman behind the decks whose true strongest skill is his ability to go beyond mere genres and trends, deciding instead to actively shape the ever-changing soundscape of electronic music through his own productions, DJ performances and parties.

Through a career spanning two and half decades, D’Julz has practically done it all. He began spinning in Paris, often playing his home city’s much-talked about early 90’s raves and legendary clubs, all before moving to New–York in 1993 to further hone his skills and cement his reputation as a true taste-maker in his field. The rest, as they say, is history.

Despite finding himself in high demand in every corner of the globe, from the States to Japan and countless countries in between, D’Julz has always remained true to his roots in Paris, where he has been running the now legendary “Bass Culture” night at Rex club since 1997.

In tandem with the birth of his party D’Julz has dedicated a large amount of time and energy into the production side of his musical output. Solo-wise his music has been signed to some of the world’s finest underground labels – Circus Company, Robsoul, Ovum, Rekids, 20:20 Vision and more. Since D’Julz started producing he has been responsible for a long list of tracks and remixes that have become essential weapons in the record boxes of the world’s DJ elite.

As a DJ he exudes class and panache. A gifted curator of music whose pedigree has earned him a loyal international following and a constant tour schedule which sees him travel the worlds major cities every week playing the best venues they have on offer. Not to mention the infamous Circoloco (DC10) where he has held a long-standing residency, taking charge of the main room and the world-renowned red terrace room several times each summer season. Each set demonstrating D’Julz’s uncanny ability to weave his penchant for dub elements into the house and techno sphere and rocking DC10 with potent groove and sultry rhythms.

D’Julz remains as enthusiastic as he was when he first started DJing, as his Bass Culture label goes from strength to strength, clocking over 50 releases and he continues to traverse the globe rocking dance floors every weekend.

A true legend and one who will continue to be at the top of his game…

Gabriel Bernardo é DJ e Produtor Cultural há 10 anos, além de pesquisador do tema da cidade e da produção de subjetividade, com foco no fenômeno das festas de rua. Fomentador da cena de música eletrônica de Porto Alegre, DJ GB já circulou por vários estados do Brasil, tocando ou debatendo sobre o rolê. Musicalmente, valoriza os grooves raros e as baterias urbanas. Em PoA, ajudou a construir o movimento de festas de rua, através da criação do Coletivo Arruaça em 2014, o que serviu de combustível para a renovação da cena. Em 2016, criou a festa Base PoA, pioneira na retomada das warehouse parties na cidade. Faz parte do selo Goma Rec., canal de distribuição de podcasts e músicas autorais de artistas nacionais. Também faz parte do Cultura de Pista, um canal de produção de conhecimento sobre o universo das pistas de dança.

Amante de música erudita desde garoto, Diou descobriu o techno há uns 3 anos e, desde então, tem vivido uma intensa e acelerada caminhada desde clubber a DJ entusiasta underground. Frequentador da cena paulistana, tem atuado como membro do coletivo “BecoMadre”, sua principal referência e espaço de atuação. Sua pesquisa transita entre rompantes acelerados, percussivos e bastante ácidos, em contraste com melodias bucólicas, passando por um techno mais industrial, pelas batidas quebradas e pelos sons obscuros do electro clássico.

A classical music lover since his early childhood, Diou discovered techno about 3 years ago and, since then, has lived an intense and accelerated journey from a clubber to an underground enthusiast DJ. As a regular on the Sao Paulo scene, he is an active member of BecoMadre collective, his main reference and actuation base. His musical research goes through very accelerated and disruptive crescendos, acid and percussive elements in full contrast with bucolic melodies, that embrace a more industrial techno along with break beats and the darker elements found in classical electro.
