Houn' Dog, a Southern boy who's lived a lifetime in a short span, recently underwent a reconstitution, leaning into his childhood nickname after the passing of his Paw Paw.  After a couple years of making beats for randos during his college days in Alabama, hosting an Underground Hip Hop show on the University's radio station, interviewing the likes of Tech N9ne, Yelawolf, and Brother Ali and finally stepping to the mic himself (albeit under a much different and meh stage name), Dog left rap behind for his family and a pursuit of a film career. But after his grandfather fell ill in 2021, the only way he could deal with the uncertainty of life, a struggling career, and the day to day monotony was by recording his feelings on wax. Now back on the scene with a combination of his love for Hip Hop, alternative, and poetry (s/o them JHS English teachers!), Houn' Dog hopes to honor his granddad's legacy while leaving one of his own to his precious daughters. Virus B is the musical project of Virginie Borriazzi, a composer and a guitarist interested in manipulating the sound. She attempts to create an unlimited universe...

Many of the tracks here were produced using Reaper software. Vocals were recorded with a condenser microphone, and guitars were recorded directly into a sound card with amp emulations. All other sounds were created using virtual synthesizers or real-world sounds that were then processed.

For several months, no computer has been used in the creative process.  The gear for composing, recording and mixing is : Akai MPC One, Roland SP-404 MKII, Novation Circuit Tracks, Novation Circuit Rhythm, Arturia DrumBrute Impact, Zoom H2N. A computer is only used for the final step of production : mastering.

No AI is involved in the tracks of this project.
