When I wake up in the morning, I start singing. Been singing my whole life. I was born in Springfield, Illinois; raised in Aurora, Colorado Taya Envy; why I gave myself this stage name is, the person I felt and began to see myself grow into had potential of no other. Taya is half of my name, Envy is what I see beyond my eye's. Using half of my name is that everyone called me Taya, everyone who knew me it was by that name. I wouldn't have chosen any other name but Taya, in my eye's this name had a shine to it. Envy, is the second half of my name chosen due to the misunderstanding of being the person I am. Behind my eye's when I looked around I felt I was the only one, not being self centered. From females to males I always seemed to be in the spot light. Envy is how I felt many were towards me. Being pretty with a fierce walk didn't always bring friends, it brought Envy. Many people I knew to not knowing felt this way. Weather saying it or not it showed and a seen it with in an instance. I felt a power with in this, that I had something a lot didn't. It separated me from anyone else, once again I was in the spot light.
 
My craft comes with in a place I couldn't lead you to, though I can take you to that place with in my craft. My voice is my craft. I'd consider my image as a "Old School/New School Essence". 
What I'd like to change about the industry with my craft is to bring that real music, feel good music. That eccentric difference, that I never heard anything like this before. Bringing my music to the table would spread the vibe of a new genre R&B Soul.
