In our lives, we are granted the opportunity to witness the departure of our loved ones. Some depart through doors, never to return, yet still exist somewhere. Others leave suddenly, unexpectedly. Yet some depart when we are somewhat prepared, for their age predisposes them to it. However, there are also departures more challenging... when we observe the tree of the mind of a beloved, from which memories' leaves fall, and even the freshest, youngest cannot hold on to it. We cannot help, we can only watch how they fall...

Composing this little piece was very personal. It was combined with the realization of a fact from my immediate surroundings. I left all imperfections of my playing because of how I felt at that moment. It wasn't an improvisation, it was an interpretation of a theme that I've developed few minutes earlier. Hello friends and fellow humans, 

First off I want to say a huge thank you to all the incredible artist who have shared their fantastic music with me for my little show. It has been an honor to play your songs. I’m grateful for your support in making this show happen. You guys are truly amazing.

Now if you don’t know me, 

My name is Rayna and I host a radio show on VOWR.ca (VOWR 800AM if you’re on the Island) It is a wonderful all volunteer Radio Station celebrating 100 YEARS on the air in 2024  We are located in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada.  

I started a new show called the “The Unsigned Radio Hour” where I give artists from SoundCloud and other venues a chance to have their songs heard on the radio. 

I love listening to, writing or playing music.  I understand what a wonderful feeling it is to share that love and passion with others.
