Ace of Base is something as uncomplicated as a pop band, that doesn’t try to be or appear to be anything else than that. They want to make their listeners feel good when hearing their music. They don’t have any heavy messages, even if the songs obviously have become better crafted and substantial over the years. Simplicity isn’t easy. The fact that Ace of Base has sold over 30 million albums and 15 million singles proves that they know what they’re doing.

Ace of Base is one of the world’s biggest bands, one of those rare bands whose name is a well-known brand wherever in the world you go. Their fans, so called ”Acers”, also show a passionate interest in the band. Every year, some of them fly in to Gothenburg from all over the world to get together, share views and opinions on the band, check out the studios where the band has recorded and walk the streets where Ace of Base grew up.

A brief History:
The Ace of Base story started in the early 90’s when the three Berggren siblings (Jonas, Malin and Jenny) formed the techno band Tech Noir. Next to their rehearsal room, Ulf Ekberg played in another band. Soon, Jonas and Ulf hit it off, started to write and produce together and Ace of Base as we know them were formed. After having recorded a demo of original songs, including ”All That She Wants”, the band went to Stockholm where they visited all major record companies. No one showed any interest. (Jonas later remembered somebody explaining that the songs were ”too obvious, too simple”). Next step was Copenhagen, where Mega Records immediately saw the band’s potential and loved their positive, uncomplicated and slightly reggae-tinged pop music.

Aaron Sevilla es un DJ y productor mexicano con creciente presencia en la cultura techno mexicana y latina; caracterizado por sus mezclas orgánicas y enérgicas se abrió paso hasta conseguir residencias en clubes tan icónicos como AM Local, Americana Club Social y Janis en la Ciudad de México. Ha tenido oportunidad de compartir su música en eventos de prestigio mundial como Burning Man Project (2019), Medusa Sunbeach (México 2019) y Ultra Music Festival (México 2018), logrando así compartir escenario con grandes estrellas: entre las que destacan Carl Cox, Dubfire, Tale of Us, Jamie Jones, Luciano, Marco Carola, Claptone…

Su carrera comenzó en el año 2012, y en 2013 Sevilla realizó un viaje por Europa que enriquecería enormemente su conocimiento y contacto con diversos temas relacionados con la música. Rumbo a 2015, Aaron vuelve a la Ciudad de México a reanudar sus actividades de producción y presentaciones en vivo, a la par que desarrolla el proyecto Pulse Wave como una agencia integral de soluciones para productores de música electrónica incluyendo bookings, radio shows, promoción de eventos, plataforma de streaming, entre otras. Mediante tal agencia ayuda a potenciar las carreras de artistas como Oliver Koletzki, Rafa Barrios, Chus, Yaya, Ameme, De la Swing, Maga, Oscar L, entre otros; a la vez que acumula múltiples experiencias sobre la industria musical.

Con el tiempo además ha sido apoyado por artistas de talla internacional como Black Coffee, Simone Vitullo, Richie Hawtin, Peppe Citarella, Natema, Mijangos y otros. Así, desde 2021 Aaron ha ocupado diferentes posiciones en las listas principales de las tiendas de música electrónica más relevantes, incluido el #1 en Afro House Chart en Beatport y el #1 en el ranking Afro Latin Traxsource.

Ya en 2018 incursiona por primera vez con presentaciones en el extranjero, haciendo vibrar tierra colombiana en uno de los clubes de mayor relevancia a nivel mundial: Baum Bogotá. Durante el tiempo de confinamiento continúa trabajando con presentaciones en línea de impacto global, ahora conduce un radio show en la estación de música electrónica más importante de México: Beat 100.9 FM, y se encamina hacia el futuro encendiendo fiestas cada vez más grandes en lugares cada vez más interesantes. Sevilla es ahora considerado uno de los talentos más prometedores de la escena underground mexicana según DJMAGmx.

From the silk roads of yore to the modern industrial shipping lanes on the high seas, Shmoo's sound is universal sonic commerce for the contemporary ear lobe.

A driving force in the Chicago House scene for over two decades, Shmoo is known for his acclaimed You Are Here series with Derrick Carter at the legendary Spybar and his groundbreaking studio work alongside Gramaphone’s Garrett David. Having previously held residencies at Berlin Nightclub, Copa Lounge, East Room, Electric Hotel, Estate, and the infamous Tanto’s afterhours, Shmoo has left his mark on dance floors across the city.

His debut EP on the iconic Love Notes From Brooklyn label sold out worldwide and earned support from Honey Dijon on BBC Radio 1. During the global club shutdown, Shmoo helped to co-launch SHFFT, a cutting-edge multimedia project that kept the underground spirit alive. He was also invited as a featured guest on DJ Heather's CHI FI SHOW Twitch livestream.

Recognized as one of only six DJs honoured by the City of Chicago’s Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events for excellence in House music production, promotion, and performance, Shmoo stands amongst legends like DJ Lady D, Steve Miggedy Maestro, and Duane Powell. His contributions haven’t gone unnoticed: 5 Magazine has hailed him as one of “the best people working on the scene in Chicago” and a “hometown hero.”

Shmoo’s remix of “Mack Blagic” by Groovy Drew on Jason Merle’s 4E&A imprint has garnered the support of Carl Cox, while his release “Split Up The Get Go” on the same label climbed to #2 on Beatport’s After Hour Essentials: Deep House chart and #6 on their Best New Deep House chart.

His recent release, “Love With Someone”, a collaboration with Chicago’s ilana ariella on her Cheap Talk label, has received support from Alinka, Sam Divine, Francesca Lombardo, Benji Calendario, Joseph Capriati, Marco Carola, Satoshi Fumi, Paco Osuna, Severino Panzetta, Hans Thalau, and James Zabiela, among others. The Audio Soul Project (aka Mazi) remix was featured on Traxsource’s Essential Garage chart and peaked at #28 on their Top 100 Garage chart.

In addition to his work as an artist and producer, Shmoo manages A&R for Cheap Talk, helping to shape the label’s forward-thinking sound.

Shmoo’s latest release “UFO Racing At Dusk” is out now on 4E&A, featuring a remix from Jason Merle. The original mix was selected as #5 on Beatport’s Week 16 Weekend Picks House chart.

Nico Stojan’s inspiration is the universal truth that everything vibrates, and that’s why he embraces the transformative power of music. The Berlin-based DJ, producer, and label head, embraces the power of music as a unifying force. Drawing inspiration from various genres, he creates dancefloor moments that bring joy and nourishment to his audience. Nico's journey began in the 90s when he discovered turntables in his uncle's discotheque, marking the start of his successful career. His unique blend of musical energies combines jazz, hip-hop, downtempo, indie, and melodic electronics. Whether it's a beach, festival, Burning Man, or an intimate club, Nico adapts his style while maintaining his signature groove. He goes beyond sound, incorporating scents and other elements to deepen the sensory experience. Collaboration is key to his artistry, particularly with Acid Pauli, as they co-run Ouïe Music. Nico's releases on esteemed labels like Crosstown Rebels showcase his distinct, groovy sound. Ultimately, Nico Stojan believes in the transformative power of music, using it as a portal to connect with his audience.
