Mix Series 026 by @ethanfawkes

For the 26th edition we welcome Ethan Fawkes with 2 hours of explosive music, driving us between EBM, Techno and Belgium influenced sound.

Ethan Fawkes is an oldschool rave/techno and EBM DJ/producer, based in Tilff, Belgium. Growing up in the 80's and 90’s, his passion for music started at 10 years old with New beat, EBM followed by Belgian Techno. Ethan’s production skills are so insane that he’s been recruited to remix artists including The Horrorist, Al Ferox, Clemens Neufeld, Millimetric and Diarmaid O Meara. Frequent collaborations with artists like Danny Casseau often take form and his guest vocals appear on various other releases.

New projects are "Nu Body Records" EBM label run with Fabrice Torricella and "Ethan Fawkes No Label" for self released CDs and vinyl.

For the 27th edition we welcome Pikkauch to our mix series - an Ukrainian born, Tallinn based DJ. 
We're also proud to announce that she will be part of our label showcase at Tresor Berlin on the 20th July 2022.

DJ Pikkauch began her journey at club HALL parties in Tallinn. Initially, a devoted regular absorbing the medley of sounds on the dance floor, her interest in the art of DJing and music made her try out the craft herself.
While digging the music and preparing for her sets, she´s not only in for what sounds good, but also feels good - a vibe that you can still recall after you´ve left the club. She is especially obsessed with dirty, melodic basslines and electric sounds and mostly plays EBM, electro, Italo, techno and acid.

For the 28th edition we welcome Munsinger to our mix series, a cyber punk & live artist.

Munsinger stands out by a fetish for machines and other sound generating devices from which he soaks a raw energy tinted of punk-punk tones. His music is influenced by Rave and EBM sonorities, mixing anarchist synth lines, metallic snares, and martial rhythms.

For the 29th edition we welcome Zeitreise to our mix series,
ZEITREISE - is a DJ / producer duo from Italy with a deep connection to the dark sound. Their music is always boundlessly evolving with heavy exploration that cuts across genres such as EBM, Industrial and sound inspired by Hardcore Punk and Doom Metal. Zeitreise also experience their sound through the improvisation, which connects DJ sets, analogue systems, musical instruments and various instruments.

For the 30th edition we welcome Rogermultiuse is to our mix series, a Brazilian producer and DJ from São Paulo, based in Berlin. 

Passionate about synthesizers. Acting in the underground scene of São Paulo since 2004, he is resident DJ at the Blum party and was also a resident at the legendary brazilian club Vegas and owner of underground club VGLNT.

For the 31st edition we welcome E-bony aka @naor-dayan to our mix series, an up-and-coming DJ and producer from Tel Aviv’s underground, holding residencies at the infamous Alphabet Club and of the international well-known queer nights & label ‘PAG’, in addition to having releases on infamous labels such as Slow Motion, Wrong Era, Italo Moderni, Dalmata Daniel to name a few.

Naor, born and raised in one of Tel-Aviv’s somewhat challenging areas, got him fleeing to the city’s center at an early age, where he was exposed to Tel-Aviv’s electronic music scene, since this point E-bony has been developing unarguable taste and skill for music, in his productions and behind the decks you can hear a combination of Techno, Electro and Italo with a smooth movement between darkness, lights and groove.

For the 34th edition we welcome Extase Urbaine to our mix series.
With his roots in Amsterdam’s DIY scene, Extase Urbaine has been quick gaining a momentum, achieving local and international recognition.
He is the co-founder and resident DJ of HDE, a collective dedicated to pushing the boundaries of underground clubbing. HDE nights quickly became among Amsterdam’s most recognized parties, known for their multidisciplinary approach to the dance floor.
His DJ sets cross weave genres, scenes, past and present, blending everything from body music and techno, to electro and trance-y explorations.
Extase has released music on independent record labels such as Soil and Ferma, and is soon putting out an EP with Slow Motion/Wrong Era imprint and Budapest’s Dalmata Daniel.

Rebecca Goldberg is a producer, live performer, DJ and graphic designer from Detroit. Since her debut EP, 313 Acid Queen, she has been affiliated with the multidisciplinary arts collective, Detroit Underground. Rebecca is a seasoned radio DJ having mixed for FM and internet-radio shows hosted across the globe. She has released music and multimedia projects ranging from Detroit techno to avant garde electronic music. Carrying with her the tradition of Detroit Techno, Goldberg tours internationally as a DJ and live performer and has been featured at notable events from Detroit’s seminal Movement Festival to Tresor in Berlin.

Zaatar زَعْتَر ’s music is the peculiar combination of both her origins : Moroccan and Belgian.

She finds her inspiration in the post punk and EBM movement of the late 80’ and early 90’. Her tracks are therefore built around a gritty and rough baseline that sets the mood for frenetic body dances. Melodies and sounds inherited from her home country -Morocco- completes her soundscape in a way that is her own. During her DJ sets she invites the public on a captivating journey from light to darkness, an oscillation between joy and melancholy sometimes punctuated by oriental melodies.

For the 41st edition, we welcome Estée Louder who is a Sydney-based artist, event producer and dance-floor enthusiast. Genre non-conforming, with an appreciation for the wavey new beat and industrial extents of the techno sphere, her DJ sets are crafted to leave you feeling exorcised and energised.
Estée Louder founded the regular club night and podcast series CONTROL. Control exists to create space for women and queer people operating and existing in the electronic music realm. Control seeks to bridge the tyranny of distance between Australia and the rest of the world, bringing together international guests and their local counterparts in dance floor unification.

For the 42nd edition, we welcome R Gamble who is a producer, DJ, and live performer based in NYC. Originally hailing from Memphis, where he was surrounded by a strange delta concoction of garage synth-punk, low-fi rap and avant garde experimentation, he eventually made his way to the big apple and co founded the party collective and label Lost Soul Enterprises built on a love of mutant synth sounds.
He is a resident DJ for  Good Room, The Lot Radio, and Mutant Radio, and has released his own music on labels such as Mannequin, Public System Recordings, KRI, Primitive Languages, Black Lodge, Kraftjerkz, Sisters, Marguerite Records and others.

For the 43rd edition, we welcome Melanie Havens who is a Sao Paulo native now making waves in Berlin. She's a standout DJ known for her vibrant fusion of EBM, techno, wave, post-punk and beyond.

The multi-talented artist has been showing her skills both as a writer and curator for The Brvtalist platform and as a standout resident of Brvtalist parties.

With acclaimed mixes for platforms such as Rinse and Slam Radio, Melanie continues to solidify her rising status in the electronic music scene with her fresh and inimitable sets.

For the 44th edition, we welcome EKATA who is a London based DJ/Producer + Natural Selection Resident. Her productions are characterised by their dark and atmospheric soundscapes, driven by pulsating rhythms and intricate synth work.

Determined to create music that is unearthly, idiosyncratic and exuding futurism of that of a sci-fi film, she always ensures a story is to be told in each track she produces.

She mainly sticks to the dark and eerie side of Electro/Techno in her productions & gigs, where she will take you on a dark and twisted journey through incredibly dystopian, ominous grooves and obvious sci-fi fixations which embody her carefully picked selections.
