We welcome Italian rising star Enrico Sangiuliano to Tronic! After countless hits on Drumcode, Alleanza, and Unrilis, Enrico decided to send us some music for a release on Tronic. He gave a us a powerful techno track ‘Hook At The Border’ which is sure to rock any floor. If this was not enough we enlisted another one of our favourites, Paride Saraceni, to make two remixes of this track. Paride delivered a peak time festival style remix as well as a deeper yet still powerful version. We are very happy with this release and hope you will hammer this release.

"Normally I know that high expectations kill the vibe, so I always try to walk my way open minded and don’t expect anything special from the future, but this time I couldn’t help it. When the Robot told me that she wanted me to play the sunrise set and that we will be connected with the Mayan Warrior soundsystem, I could feel it already in Berlin a full three weeks before… Then when I finally took the bus over to Robot Heart it was even better than in my craziest expectations. This gig was by far the most emotional gig I have ever played. All I can say is thank you, I am even more happy now to be born on this weird planet which can be really beautiful sometimes, when you give it  chance to be free. Thank you you for dancing with me and giving me so much Love. So here is my try to give something back.

The human body is the most highly engineered object in existence, a machine of uncountable parts and unfathomable function. Its workings have served as inspiration for all of humanity's greatest inventions. This work is an homage to the two most amazing mechanisms in that machine: the human eye and hand. The head is a 16 foot camera obscura demonstrating the ray optics principals underlying the spherical lensed eye humans posses and the hands are actuated mimicking the tendons and bones of the body. Together they represent what separates life from the rest of the universe, the ability to observe the world around us and manifest change in that world.

Filth on Acid is excited to welcome Cari Golden for a new collaboration with label honcho Reinier Zonneveld. "Bending The End" is the second track they recorded together and the follow up of the enormous hit "Things We Might Have Said", which was one of the biggest electronic hits of 2016.

That being said, Cari and Reinier wanted to bring something new to the table and started with a white canvas when composing "Bending The End", and because of that they ended up taking a totally different direction. This time the track comes in two variations, the melody centred original mix and a dancefloor orientated 4AM mix. 

The original mix starts out with a throbbing, deep Moog bassline, and a round, deep bassdrum, while at the same time blending soft, haunting effects and a fragmented, distorted melody. Cari Golden's voice, deep and beautiful, comes in and sets the mood for a hypnotic slow burner. The bassline initiates a subtle chord progression and delicate production skills elevate the mood of the track. Powerful but stripped back drum programming along with short bursts of white noise bring impact for the dancefloor. A long breakdown starts the orchestra by three of the big classic synths - Oberheim, Moog and Juno - and pave the road for unimpeachable ear candy with Cari's angel like voice as the centerpoint of the attention. All the elements come together and form an indisputable peak; without building up too obvious. In the vein of bending the end to the beginning again, the track's outro ends as it started: deep and delicate. The second version in the package - 4AM Mix - has a definite peaktime feel to it. Powerful driving drums and a heavy bed of sub bass kick lead the way to the introduction of looped elements of Cari's voice. Colossal, bassy stabs hint to original in a disrobed way. Long synth notes lying somewhere between bass and melody introduce the harmonies of the original during the breakdowns and translate it to demanding dancefloors in a profound way.

PREMIERE: Reinier Zonneveld & Cari Golden - Bending The End (Original Mix)

Losian steps up on Rhythm Section’s club-focused sub-label International Black to supply his deep and moody techno cut ‘He’s My Brother’.

Hailing from London, Losian is fresh name ready to make his mark with material inspired by the early techno scene in Detroit and the essence of clubbing in Berlin. His debut release lands on Bradley Zero’s carefully curated International Black and introduces us to what we can expect from the burgeoning producer.

With just the second release on International Black, the imprint drifts further into the dark realm of dance music as promised. ‘He’s My Brother’ delivers eerie atmospherics, steady rhythm and heady, no-frills techno.

‘International Black 002’ is set for release on May 12 and also features a tripped out cut from Neinzer that completes the functional and highly effective release.

Premiere: Losian 'He's My Brother'

Young French producer Deapmash has collaborated with Benjamin Damage to deliver the banging, highly serrated track 'Solar 909'.

Premiering via Mixmag, the sharp, echoing production is one of three tracks the artist makes his Leisure System debut on with the 'Halcyon' EP. The collection drops as part of the GRIDLOCK series off the Berlin imprint, focusing on dance floor-designed vinyl.

Although a relatively fresh face, Deapmash has already seen releases on Boysnoize Records and Soul Notes with support from Truss, Paula Temple and Tessela.

On 'Solar 909' the newcomer flexes his signature techno meets breakbeat style with a definitive edge from Benjamin Damage in the form of jagged, bouncing elements.

Deapmash's 'Halcyon' EP also includes two original solo tracks, releasing on May 12.

Adrian Shala and Adrian Schweizer, the Swiss duo recording and performing as Adriatique, sign the third Afterlife release of 2018, ‘Ray’. The two-track single follows their remix of Tale Of Us & Vaal’s ‘Monument’ in 2017, and marks the beginning of Adriatique’s own journey with Afterlife Recordings.

We first heard of ‘Ray’ in Tale Of Us’ sublime fabric 97 CD, where its soaring melody ended the mix on a euphoric high. It stands out as a scintillating dancefloor composition, whose lead synth line will no-doubt create many memorable dancefloor moments. ‘Voices From The Dawn’ takes a more subtle approach to the same thrilling effect. Driven by the rolling beats, it reveals itself sporadically in spirited surges of life.

These two tracks not only show the range of Adriatique’s production focus, but show them to be highly-accomplished whether making hypnotic, peak-time grooves or epic songs for the end of the night.

Damian Lazarus’ magical live project The Ancient Moons returns with their new single Five Moons. 

The band led by Lazarus, is comprised of Ben Chetwood on drums, Rob Gentry on keyboards, and new vocalist J Appiah. On Five Moons they are also joined by the Australian punk sensation Chela for a dubbed out, soulful excursion into the darker recesses of the dancefloor.

The Ancient Moons first debuted in 2014 with Lover’s Eyes, and followed that with the acclaimed album ‘Message From The Other Side’, dubbed a “a journey into techno’s dreamiest recesses” by The Fader and a “psychedelic masterpiece’ by Vice. Since then The Ancient Moons have travelled the world with their highly immersive live show, supported Roisin Murphy on tour and played at Glastonbury festival and Melt! amongst others.

Last year the band resurfaced, after locking themselves away to record in the Italian countryside, with I Found You, which nabbed a BBC Essential New Tune and stunning remixes from Black Coffee and Patrice Baumel. Today Five Moons offers another glimpse into this summer’s forthcoming album..
