Kia is a Melbourne based DJ. She has a penchant for subtle grooves and emotive shifts between genres, with a style very much centred around bass heavy rhythms and deeper shades of techno and IDM.

Iota is the anonymous project of another member of Melbourne’s dance music community. Focusing on minimalistic shades of electronic music, Iota seeks to create the most with the least possible. 

This recording is the first collaborative effort between the pair, where they seek to channel their otherwise opposed musical leanings into one cohesive sound.

For the closing piece, we asked vinyl connoisseur and Freerotation Festival resident Alex Downey to record a grand finale. And so he did… In three hours Alex will take you through the depths of his record collection. That says a lot when you know that he operates a warehouse stocked floor to ceiling with vinyl.

@Damo-B has been involved in the music scene in Manchester for the last 20 years or so. Heavily involved in pirate radio back in the late 1990's not only as a DJ but also part of the staff team that secured a legal license for the station now known as Unity Radio 92.8 fm, the real sound of the city.
He is the longest serving Dj on the network and his weekly 2 hour mix show is the only dedicated platform for deep house, techno and electro in the North West of England, helping to break brand new music and artists from all over the globe. A highly respected tastemaker and technically gifted Dj whose mixing skills are second to none, a true Dj's Dj. Recently appearing in the DJ Magazine with his featured artist top 10.
Damo B is also a resident Dj for the respected Bohemian Grove night in Manchester, besides, he was seen playing along side  Levon Vincent, Keith Worthy, Amir Alexander, Jane Fitz , Patrice Scott, Chris Mitchell & Amir Alexander, Perseus Traxx, Chicago Skyway, Steven Tang, Mike Huckaby, Miles Sagnia and many more!

Not happy with just being a Dj, Damo has now delved into the world of music production, alongside with his long time friend and sometimes Dj partner Toni Aslam they are collectively known as Nom De Plume. BAR Rotterdam residents and all-round executives Jetti & Post getting us right back to the club with this one-hour rave orientated mix series. These two can’t live without a decent diversity and solid nightlife culture around them. “Being in Rotterdam makes us a bit rough around the edges, which can be found in our selection. Being the bookers of Bar Rotterdam made us expand our taste in music. We have so many favourite artists!”

As of today, The main focus of the duo is at Bar Records. The record label that came out of the Rotterdam club already is set to release nr. 07 in their catalog. “In this mix series, we are playing 2 new tracks of the upcoming release which will be out around spring. It’s nice that we can release music from artists we love so much, but the thing we are looking forward to the most is to start up our Bar events again.” The crew is planning to collaborate with concepts like Isburning and Jetti & Post are taking the next steps in focussing on their DJ career. Here we are with another episode of our international mix series. This one is coming straight from the city of Bristol, by Paul Wise aka @placid_88. Paul is a veteran of the scene, collecting records from the late 80's and kicking asses on the dancefloor from the beginning of the nineties, becoming legendary for his sets of 303-drenched acid and his reputation as 'The DJ's DJ'. Nowadays, with his new project, the "We're going deep" label, he's releasing "new music for the dance floor, your front room or even just your headphones".
