The prolific artist Rafael Cerato lands on Sincopat with an energetic outstanding EP that includes an avant-garde remix by Italian born but Spain based maestro Bawrut.
Swag it's like a roller coaster ride that masterfully opens the EP, the Bawrut's remix brings it to a new level of conceptualism and space to enjoy, preferably to be enjoyed with very loud speakers in a club.
The Magic continues the journey with a strong indie flavour and superb vocals.
Was not easy to select the order of the tracks on this release and Ritual it is another good proof of that, pulsating percussive synths perfectly executed and a great vocals by Thomas Gandey make of the track another bomb.
Rotor closes this timeless EP with a catchy melody that will be hard to get out of your head once you listen.

Timeless Moment is proud to have the French star Rafael Cerato back into the label, this time in collaboration with Antony Toga and the beautiful vocals of Thomas Gandey, in the title single ‘Freedom’.   

“Freedom” is an astonishing production from the trio above, with a very strong pumping bass line and a pure dance floor hypnotic groove. The track specially shines with its amazing trance like ambience and the dark vocals of Thomas Gandey on top of it, making it a true masterpiece. 

Label boss Morttagua brings the first remix work for “Freedom” with a total progressive techno powerhouse for that peak time main stage climax. A rolling bass line is accompanied by dark harmonies and a brand new melodic riff that peaks right at the drop. Genius like sound design and precise usage of the original mix ambiences makes this remix a pure dance hit. 

Finishing off this amazing EP we welcome our favorite resident producers Uncloak back to the label to remix ‘Freedom”.  After one year hiatus from releasing music, Uncloak makes a huge comeback, producing a pure melodic techno peace of art. Uncloak brought “Freedom” into a magical dive through deep emotional harmonies and atmospheric ambiences, exploring every human sense with a true timeless journey.

Sonically  speaking  ‘The  Big  Picture’  is  probably  his  most expansive and  multifaceted  electronic-driven  album  to  date.  AFFKT’s  carefully constructed  retro-futuristic  electronica  definitely  suggests  the quaint and  unique  forms  of  body  music  bringing  ties  with  rock,  pop  and certainly more organic sounds. The musician is creating a new path, a new future by travelling to the past. This new LP is redefining its own new  genre  somewhere between  techno,  indie  dance,  industrial  and new wave inspirations. 
That said the songs of the new album hide unforgettable moments in
the artist’s life. Unlike when composing an EP, AFFKT likes to build his
albums  in  a  cinematic  way.  By  taking  a  sonic  approach  to  telling stories.  The  artist  is  looking  for  a  deeper,  more descriptive  way  of working and describe feelings, moods, by using a different language.

decay of the political and social landscape in the UK, from the Brexit divide to covid isolation. This music serves as antidote in these turbulent times.

Ten Years Lost, Sarah Bates, World Crime League, Michael Mann & Fat Rab produce a total of 14 tracks of smudged electronic melancholy; a selection of Ambient, House & Boogie cuts reminiscent of Washington's PPU or Vancouver's  now expired 1080p imprint but produced under the thick grey skies of Scotland, Preston & Manchester, power by yet thicker blooms of weedsmoke and lukewarm cups of tea.

Label head Chris Smith aka Ten Years Lost who's past productions came to prominence on Dublin's Apartment Records and his own bootleg label Mom's Spaghetti, provides the common thread pulling together like-minded artists from Glasgow, Manchester & Preston. Contributing 2 of his own productions in 'Cat People' and 'Fuckyougonnado' as well as 'Cool Runnings' via his Denny Pally collab. 

Manchester based Sarah Bates brings some analogue pagan witchcraft vibes with 2 tracks; 'Wicca' and 'Sleeping Vibes' both up-ing the tempo but retaining the deep tones that colour the compilation throughout. Sarah is an intriguing talent working freely across both music & film as she pleases, releasing on Banoffee Pie & Ruf Dug’s ‘Ruf Kutz’ label whilst producing & scoring her own full length movie 

World Crime League the scarily prolific, Preston based producer, having previously featured on Berlins' Temporize label, contributes 'Morning People', 'Dawn Boogie' & 'We Won', experimenting with VHS Boogie, Yacht Rock and Slow Jam textures, drawing upon his seemingly limitless well of playful melodies and expert programming skills. 

In every skinny, ashen faced bedroom producer there's a Fat Rab ready to jump out. One half of Denny Pally (alongside Ten Years Lost). With 'Dicy', 'Bobby G' and 'Does it Look like Rain', Fat Rab combines a sense of humour with some of the compilation's more head's down grooves that work as well in headspace as a club's floorspace (whenever the fuck that becomes a thing again). 

Lastly are some recently unearthed tracks from Michael Mann. Could it be the famed creator of Miami Vice belatedly going all John Carpenter on us and scoring his own films? Or could it be a discarded side project from Highlands based Dam Ru - label mate of WCL on Temporize? Who knows for sure, we do know Dam Ru's debut album is coming soon on Temporize but Michael Mann's fate is, as yet, undetermined.

‘Muy Duro’ flagship V/A series returns this year with his volumen 6, music from new and old souls around the world. Le Dame Noir’s Arthur Johnson give you the entrance ticket with "31SPCIAL", a locomotive ride loaded with a bouncy bass, steady percussions and sharp cymbals that drive you to the peak. It is followed by Cornelius Doctor’s "Zsa Zsa Can't Don't Cry", a metallic and playful percussion with a mix of unhinged and liberating synthesizers.

Changing the semblance are ID_UA & Berny with "Tutta La Notte", a broken beat cut. Its hypnotizing synths will make you descend into the deepest and sweltering of the night, the point where you never want to see the sunlight again. Colossio's "Regios", is the perfect soundtrack to transport you to the multidimensional plane where you don't know if there will be a return accompanied by wild and nutty gnomes or your entrance to the psychiatric. Guitar and synthesizer riffs that when entering the center of your head hypnotize you, distorting your neurons and reality.

To close the compilation is Alvaro Cabana’s "Adventures Under The Dome", ironically inspired by all the theories that circulate today about the "dome" that covers the flat earth. A mix of sounds that could be defined as Robot Disco and Trippy Bleepy Fun, alluding to the fact that no matter if the earth is round, square or an infinite multidimensional plane, we could choose to go through this life with the intention of not stopping to have adventures and positive experiences.

This August will see Royston Summers inaugurate their new project with debut single 'Summer Lovin'', featuring four different interpretations of the arpeggio fuelled, sun-drenched jam.

Royston Summers is an electronic duo bringing the much loved sounds of 80's synthesiser driven Electronica and Synthwave, raw 90's House and the post millennia Indie Dance, Nu Disco and French House phenomena into the future. 2021 will see the pair introduce their sound to the world, showcasing an extensive amalgamation of sounds and styles which twist and turn yet keep a coherent thread as distinctively theirs.

The 'Full Vocal Mix' of 'Summer Lovin'' leads the release, as the name would suggest the original composition weaves together an amalgamation of vocals from one half of Royston Summers, vocalist Troy Denari, alongside choppy bass notes, winding arps and crunchy drums. The 'Lovin' Mix' then offers a more dubbed take on the original with sporadic vocal hooks worked in throughout.

Following is the 'Chant Mix' which strips back the main vocal and focuses solely on the hypnotic tribal like chants before a full 'Instrumental' take wraps things up, allowing the vintage synth lines, dynamic drums and robust bass lines to shine on their own.

Anatomically speaking, “Lava Lava” grows from a sleek arrangement. We are all the product of our influences and there is no substitute for experience. Damon Jee is the embodiment of that statement. Over the last 20 years he has carved a career in a very unassuming way, unintentionally writing an exciting new chapter for the global electronic music scene. He is the journeyman who managed to shine brighter by staying true to himself, a musical alchemist experimenting with different sounds to create a deadly new potion. Today, the producer is considered the main exponent of a fresh and exciting new scene many are calling Dark Disco. 

Getting his start in the studio alongside fellow Frenchman Olivier Giacomotto, the duo became main players on the then booming electro house scene with an impressive run of productions on labels like Definitive and CR2. As he started producing more solo works, Jee naturally veered towards his rebellious heritage growing up on nineties rock and industrial bands like Nine Inch Nails, The Pixies, Nirvana and more. The organic appeal of live rock seeped into his productions: distorted guitars gliding atop fat, off-beat and two-fingered picked bass, all framed within a foundation of percussion and drums that carries Damon Jee’s immaculately engineered and distinct sound. The music he released under his NOZZ moniker is especially steeped in this unique and heavy-duty sound: powerful productions which doubles up as heat seeking missiles aimed straight at the heart of any dancefloor.

It was his remix of Pardon Moi’s ‘Power to the People’ that really pushed the affable Frenchman to  a wider audience. It has it all: trance melodies and cosmic chords, a confidant rock stomp coiled with electronic euphoria, and robotic vocals gleefully riding a wave of energetic drums. It received support from the world’s best tastemakers including Solomun, Job Jobse and HAAi, introducing Damon Jee to a brand new audience. 

Today his singular sound can be heard on the underground’s most sought-after labels including Roam, Hafendisko, Suara and Sincopat to name a few. Huge support came in the form of Jennifer Cardini who signed his massive three track Chamaniac EP to her Correspondant Records. Its appeal reaching wide, the EP received support from various corners of the electronic music sphere with a diverse group of DJs from Andrew Weatherall to Chris Liebing to Joris Voorn all getting around it.

The natural evolution of Damon Jee has lead to the recent launch of his label, Critical Monday. The new imprint will explore Damon Jee’s idiosyncratic sound even further. The first release under his Holographic Planes moniker, alongside producer Alvaro Cabana, is a three track dance floor bomb featuring an equally effective remix from Jennifer Cardini. With upcoming releases from Curses, Autarkic, Fairmont, and, of course, Damon Jee, the label is set to become a go-to for those looking to ignite any dancefloor.
