Nirvāṇa is a term found in the texts of all major Indian religions – Buddhism,[19] Hinduism,[20] Jainism[21] and Sikhism.[22][23] It refers to the profound peace of mind that is acquired with moksha, liberation from samsara, or release from a state of suffering, after respective spiritual practice or sādhanā.[note 2]

The idea of moksha is connected to the Vedic culture, where it conveyed a notion of amrtam, "immortality",[27][28] and also a notion of a timeless, "unborn", or "the still point of the turning world of time". It was also its timeless structure, the whole underlying "the spokes of the invariable but incessant wheel of time".[note 3] The hope for life after death started with notions of going to the worlds of the Fathers or Ancestors and/or the world of the Gods or Heaven.[27][note 4]

The earliest Vedic texts incorporate the concept of life, followed by an afterlife in heaven and hell based on cumulative virtues (merit) or vices (demerit).[29] However, the ancient Vedic Rishis challenged this idea of afterlife as simplistic, because people do not live an equally moral or immoral life. Between generally virtuous lives, some are more virtuous; while evil too has degrees, and either permanent heaven or permanent hell is disproportionate. The Vedic thinkers introduced the idea of an afterlife in heaven or hell in proportion to one's merit, and when this runs out, one returns and is reborn.[30][31][32] The idea of rebirth following "running out of merit" appears in Buddhist texts as well.[33] This idea appears in many ancient and medieval texts, as Saṃsāra, or the endless cycle of life, death, rebirth and redeath, such as section 6:31 of the Mahabharata[34] and verse 9.21 of the Bhagavad Gita.[35][36][note 5] The Saṃsara, the life after death, and what impacts rebirth came to be seen as dependent on karma.[39]

The liberation from Saṃsāra developed as an ultimate goal and soteriological value in the Indian culture, and called by different terms such as nirvana, moksha, mukti and kaivalya. This basic scheme underlies Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism, where "the ultimate aim is the timeless state of moksa, or, as the Buddhists first seem to have called it, nirvana."[40]

Although the term occurs in the literatures of a number of ancient Indian traditions, the concept is most commonly associated with Buddhism.[web 1] It was later adopted by other Indian religions, but with different meanings and description (Moksha), such as in the Hindu text Bhagavad Gita of the Mahabharata.[20]

Hello! My name is Hans Henning Thomas. I think, I´m more a soundengineer than a songwriter and more a songwriter than really a singer/musician. I started to play guitar  late, i.e. on the age of sixteen and had never learned an instrument before. So my first musical influences have been by songwriters, because I firstly payed most of my attention to the lyrics. My musical understanding developed at this time, moving away from home and hanging around with some friends. At this time I did my first steps by grounding a band. But we were influenced more by the era of such as the Doors, Rory Gallagher, Neil Young, Jimmy Hendrix,  Pink Floyd or the first Deep Purple cast, - while the actual successful music at this time sadly was New German Wave and the like.

Later, after becoming an firstly unemployed physics, I followed my intention and turned my passion to trade, becoming a sound engineer. After all I got a well paid job in an public supported analog sound studio for a decade, recording and teaching some people in sound engineering. Some of my songs, published here, are a result from this era.

Now I´m working again as a physics / engineer, and music became my fervour again. In my life I lived in many different towns, in East and West Germany -  i.e. Düsseldorf, Braunschweig, Paderborn, Berlin, (1/2 year Tropea, Calabria, Italy), Hagen Westf, Siegburg, Dresden (Neustadt) and now I turned to Rahden, Westf., again, where I live deep in the country in an integral nature reserve. The experiences, I got and the people I met, might be an insperation for my philosophy and my music.

Thanks to the new computer technologies, I was able to build myself a modern home recording studio again, to produce my own and my friends music in a good quality.

My intention for the next time is, to listen to the theme and sound of the nature and turn it to music. The Intro of my song "Wild Ducks Flying" ("Flieg mit dem Wind") is a good example for this project. It came up to me, when I recorded some wild ducks trough my open window, flying over my house. I loaded the samples into a software synthesizer and started to made music to it, leaning on the style of some early Pink Floyd projects. This song should be regarded to migrant birds in analogy to the human society, nowadays.

I plan to go on this way in my next holiday, at least for a month, recording and using the sounds of a forest at night and the like.

My music and production style can sound unique, unconventional and surprising, all for good reasons and intentions. Thanks to all who have listened, liked, reposted and/or commented throughout the years . I always notice and respond.

Gargyzaa is a one-man band located in Espoo, Finland.
 I play all the instruments manually (guitars, keyboards, bass, plastic  didgeridoo, Korg monotron duo, fipple flute etc.) and sing all the vocals. Plus I have written these lyrics and peculiar poetry/ bizarre dialogues you hear (in Finnish&English).
Some people have asked me who plays the instruments and I have answered them several times that it´s me who is responsible for all this trippy noise and musical weirdness.
It has been quite tedious and more or less irritating to explain this relatively often, hahaha.
I´m a also a self taught "musician" and "vocalist". I play by ear.
The drum parts are made from short loops with Audacity and then the so called rhythm track is upoaded to my Zoom R-24. After that I will start recording the instruments/vocals on top.
I don´t have or play drums. Well, maybe one day.
So basically I use Zoom R-24 to record and even master these tracks. I bring the finished "product" to SoundCloud through Audacity.
My equipment is very amateurish, cheap and in some cases semi-broken. 
I use those infamous progressive rock structures, but deliver them with a punk rock attitude/gear, hehehe.
The cover art/design is just basically a few collages/paste-ups, psychedelically distorted&enhanced pics and a couple of random photos I took. Nothing special.

Duke Ellington said there are only two kinds of music, good and bad.  Someday I hope to have my tracks fall to the former category. I figure I have 18 years to play at it. :)

I don't really have a favorite genre. I could listen to a rock song, a metal song, jazz, pop music, whatever. For me, whatever style it is, it always depends on the chord progression, the lyrics, and the melody used.
