Dolls in the Dark

Dark synth music from the land down under Perth, Western Australia.

D-JEONG is a dark synth project formed by music/audio producer Dan Symons at the beginning of 2022. Inspiration drew from a diverse musical taste including the likes of dark 80's purveyors Depeche Mode, Goth legends Sisters of Mercy, The Cure (Disintergration era), Bauhaus, Contemporary Dark Synth artists such as Perturbator, Drab Majesty and the Extreme Metal tones of Dimmu Borgir, and Fear Factory.

Sonically, you can expect a concoction of dark synthwave, 80's, industrial, and post punk flavours that translate into thunderous beats, driving and electrifying basslines along with ominous and menacing synth textures creating a dystopian/apocalyptic soundscape.

Outside of D-JEONG, Dan is apart of another musical project called Artificial Colours formed with fellow mate Nathan Viney. They create an entirely different style known as Ghost Pop or Ghostwave. They have a few releases and are currently working on new material and reworking on some oldies that will be released soon.
