Iconic names truly worthy of legendary status join forces across the Atlantic Ocean. Both talented as they are industrious Tim Penner and Gai Barone have no desire to "Fade Away". Through smooth arpeggiated melodies of the underworld, loquacious vocals filter into sonic range, twinkling in the moonlight and galloping into the night amidst rolling percussive waves and evolving multi-faceted sequences. European borders "Fade Away" as Rauschhaus and GRAZZE provide a new collaborative force. Dynamic intensity bristles via emotive chords and bassline power. Familiar vocals enchant within a new sonic framework while glassy motifs shine in a delicately refracted half-light.

A welcome returnee sees Anton MAKe create another sonic impression. Subtle percussive hi-hats syncopate, light turns to dusk amidst a new chord structure that bends to a different force. Intelligent phrasing sees vocal touches make their play in an understated aural chemistry. A new Deeparture is the very antithesis of "Fade Away" where rising arpeggios are fully to the fore in front of enlightened chord progressions that light up the moonlit sky. Pitch bent sonic shards glitter in an iridescent shower and an effortless tour de force is framed into another Dutch masterpiece.

Alan Cerra - Sirocco

Clubsonica Records opens the fall season by welcoming Golan Zocher back to the label for a new single. The Colombian born, Israel based artist makes progressive music that breaks boundaries, moves feet and twists minds. Since making his label debut in 2017, Golan has found a comfortable home on Clubsonica, releasing two remixes and a single across two calendar years. Also finding a home on Beatfreak, Or Two Strangers and Proton Music, Golan now lands back on Clubsonica with a new single entitled Ready to Fly', alongside remixes from Navar and Stereo Underground.

Beginning with the original mix, it is Golan's masterstroke to collaborate and introduce the sublime vocals of Rona. Hailing from Israel and an artist of profound talent, she injects the piece with authentic soul and emotion, as Golan's warm grooves and impassioned musicality provide the perfect dance floor vehicle. Rona's breathy wails come in waves, effortlessly drifting through a forest of detailed percussion and tranquil tonal themes, before reaching a serene and spiritually uplifting apex across the second of two breaks and a powerful finale.

Making his label debut and providing the first interpretation of Ready to Fly' is Navar. As one of the underground's most creative talents the Dutch artist has shaped a sound all his own. His emotive musicality and organic design have led to signings on Guy J's Lost and Found Records, Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music, Nick Warren's Hope Recordings and Cid Inc's Replug Records. Now fresh off his Land of Caya' EP for Belgium's EDGE, Navar makes his Clubsonica debut with an inspired rendition of Ready to Fly'. Spanning ten magical minutes, Navar's consciousness-expanding conversion of musical ideas resonates on a profound level, as he effortlessly melds rugged dance floor minded grooves with fiery percussion and otherworldly effects. Reprocessed for aural enlightenment, Rona's vocals drift across the rumbling framework, weaving their way through an unpredictable array of atmospheric swells and melodic fragments before an expansive break spearheads an enlightening apex and intergalactic finale.

The release concludes with Stereo Underground also making his label debut and providing the final interpretation of Ready to Fly'. Famed for releases on Balance Music, Beat Boutique, Lost and Found, Sudbeat and UV, the Israeli artist sits firmly in progressive music's elite class of producers. Also, a favourite of the genre's premiere tastemakers, Stereo Underground has a long list of supporters, including Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy J and John OO Fleming. Now in a year that has seen the Tel Aviv resident release just one remix he makes his Clubsonica debut with a stylish rendition of Ready to Fly'. Carried by an indie inspired framework, Stereo Underground juxtaposes Rona's spirited wails over broken beats, striking stabs and hopeful atmospherics. Coming to full fruition across a two-minute break, the vocal narrative continues to expand, working in perfect unison with meditative melodies and rising modulation, eventually reaching a tasteful crescendo as the groove drops for a thumping conclusion. Also included for the less vocally inclined is an instrumental version which adds further depth and variety to the release. It rounds out a welcome return to Clubsonica for Golan Zocher, who continues to be one of progressive music's most beloved and sought-after artists.

"Cargo Cult" EP is not just a collection of songs. This study of human tendency to create illusory systems of faith and rituals in pursuit of unattainable or false ideals, criticism of the consumer society and blind, as well as deep immersion in personal existential dead ends and disappointments. This is a powerful conceptual frame for creating a memorable, thinking and emotionally charged musical work; created, produced and mixed by mandruvá & Ruksby.

External imitation without understanding the essence, blind faith in the ritual as a means of achieving the desired, the gap between action and the real result, the creation of illusory systems to obtain an unattainable good. The combination of "primitive", acoustic, ethnic sounds (drums, percussion, folklore motifs) with cold, mechanistic electronics, industrial, noise. 

This reflects a mixture of traditional and modern, ritual and technology. Repeating rhythms, mantras, looped samples, increasing tension - creating a sensation of the transient state of the participants in the cult.

To wrap up this EP, we’re thrilled to have three outstanding producers on board once again: Mverto Futura from Guatemala, along with TKUZ and Leonor from Mexico — each delivering their own distinctive soundscapes to shape “Cargo Cult”

It took no less than 15 years of DJ’ing before Sandeep finally found his way to the studio, resulting in a remix for, and several collaborations with, die Stube Records founder Hollt. Sandeep’s long, deep, progressive and atmospheric sets have paved the way for his first ever solo EP, ‘The Deeper Dreamer’.

The EP kicks off with the story-telling ‘The Deeper Dreamer’, built on a solid foundation of drums, a slightly filtered kick and several dreamy synths and pads. With the delicate and dreamy original fitting for those longer sets in dark basement clubs, Hollt’s reinterpretation has a slightly coarse sound in comparison, yet making it a day-dreamy track for those hazy afternoons.

For Whom The Bells Toll is special collaboration between Sandeep and Australian based cellist Wilma. After having met online, the two artists worked together on this slightly melancholic, deep house an neo-classical music cross-over gem. Listening to the original during the night, the acoustic version will suit any Sunday morning.

Much with the shift of Modern Agenda, we have decided to streamline and concentrate specific energy into each new compilation put out by Modern Architect. Members of our team are putting together compilations, much like our Intercontinental releases, based on their own personal musical tastes, which make these new compilations coming so special.  

Our first to lead with this concept is Jay Perlestein from Mexico who put together DIMENSIONS. This collection of tunes, primarily from Mexican artists, sprinkled with hints of Argentina, Canada, and the UK.
