This is a very special EP. As many might know Toy Tonics started as a sublabel of now sleeping German indie dance label Gomma records. Gomma, along with DFA, Output Records and a few other was known for a very ecclectic, different approach in dance music. On this LOST GOMMA MIXES EP you'll find 4 now lost tracks that came out about 10 - 20 years ago on Gomma, but fit very well in today’s zeitgeist again. Pete Herbert, In Flagranti and Jaques Lu Cont are featured. Who knows about modern disco - knows these producers. And there is a very special name here too: Nicky Siano. The now legendary New York DJ used to be resident at Studio 54 and other legendary NYC venues of the 1970ies and 1980ies. One of his remix works was for the Gomma records band The KDMS.

'Everyone’s favourite Israeli digger is back for another round of gloriously rare edit heat on Razor-N-Tape. Tel Aviv’s Elado returns to the Brooklyn imprint for PT. 2 of his edit series with four deadly disco dancefloor weapons.  Elado has been a driving force in his home city scene, avidly collecting records for three decades and Djing for the best part of two. In 2020 he stormed the edit world where his kaleidoscopic musical palette was heard for the first time on Razor-N-Tape and Eddie C’s Red Motorbike.  He is a master manipulator in turntablism and a much-touted tastemaker, fully immersing himself in Tel Aviv’s vibrant nightlife. Armed with a custom-built rotary mixer from Condesa, he utilizes his musical instincts with rich DJ sets that see him seamlessly weave through breakbeat, electro, disco, house & lost grooves from across the globe. Other releases can be found on G.A.M.M, Barefoot Beats, Bonfido Disques, and the mighty Secret Squirrel.

 'Baila’ gets the party started with infectious flamenco chants and claps over a churning acidic groove, and ‘Disco Hummus’ rounds out the side with a bit of joyful disco cheek. On the flip, ‘Sun’ turns an unlikely cover of a classic into an Afro Disco banger, and ‘Simba’ rumbles and rolls with restraint toward a hypnotic peak of brass and vocals. "Though his solo productions tend towards the weird, wild, and far-out, Raffaele “Whodamanny “Arcella has an incredibly well-honed pop sensibility, one that is often on full display during his energetic DJ sets and mixes. There you will find delirious collections of Italo dance magic spanning several decades, with Whodamanny cutting ecstatically between all manner of vocal oriented and neon-hued proto-house, synth pop, disco, boogie, and funk. And on the The Dance Sucker 12″, he perfectly combines his interests in futuristic sonic experimentation with the balearic euphorias of these club sets, resulting in some of the strongest and most surprising material yet to come from Periodica Records and the West Hill Studio. I say surprising for several reasons, not least of which is the presence of Arcella’s voice, which here is deliciously foregrounded…a sort of expressive croon moving through sultry serenades, summertime hooks, and sexual soul whispers.
