@ralphsession has been releasing some absolutely killer house music over the last 12 months on his @halfassedrecords label. His tracks have that Nu classic feel and he is clearly a producer who can easily match the ebbs and flows of todays' dancefloor an extensive knowledge about the roots of the genre.

His latest track 'You Know You Want To Get Up' featuring Carla Prather on vocal duties isn't just one of his best tracks to date for us it's one of the best tracks of the year so far. Overflowing with dancefloor groove it captures the energy an excitement of the best of the 90's house music but sounds absolutely now. A future classic for sure. 'After a long hiatus there finally is a new Junktion EP release on Outplay. As “Wide Awake EP” was released way back 2016 it was a long time coming!

The A-side consists of two amped up disco house treatments with “Just A Disco Thing” and “Real To Me”: stomping kicks and heavy basses together with disco goodness. While on the other side a more introspective aspect of Junktion comes to light in the form of the understated funkiness of “I Got Somebody” and dreamy melodies in “Tribute”.

As Junktion himself says: “We’ve been playing most of these tracks while touring as Fouk to great effect and it feels so good to get these out there on this release! They’re a tribute to the scene and everybody who has supported my music.”'

Robsoul welcome the return of two close friends of the label: groove scientist and kindred French spirit Dan Corco and vocal craftsman and inimitable soul man from LA Charlie Sputnik. 
Two fusionists flexing two insatiably funky tracks: Dan’s laid down a series of golden cuts on Robsoul since 2019 while Charlie played a role in one of the label’s biggest releases in the last few years – the massive DJ Sneak remixed ‘Ooh’ from Pascal & Urban Absolutes.
Now the pair collide for these two super-sweet summer sessions. ‘She’s Got Love’ is a beautiful deep house serenade to the life and soul of the party. Full flavoured vocals delivered over a sassy, hip-shaking groove, this was tailor made for the sunny season. 
Meanwhile ‘Toe The Line’ ups the jack factor with a pumping disco-flavoured twist. Big funk bassline action with even bigger synth textures, this doesn’t so much toe the line but leaps over it mischievously, then leaps back… Then leaps again. Show some love.
