Presenting their second release of the year, Antrim’s Or Two Strangers welcomes Sebastian Sellares back to the label for a new EP. The Cordoba resident has been one of the imprints core artists since first appearing in 2019, with five original productions released over the course of a prolific sixteen month stretch. UK behemoth Anjunadeep, Cid Inc’s Replug Records, GMJ and Matter's Meanwhile and US powerhouse Proton Music have also served as landing spots for the Argentine's mesmerizing productions, while progressive music tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren continue to champion his sound. With the year being highlighted by the recently released Replug vehicle ‘Sky Above’, a joint EP project produced alongside fellow countryman Ezequiel Arias, Sebastian now returns to Or Two Strangers with a three track showcase entitled ‘Blizzard’.

EP opener and title selection ‘Blizzard’ finds Sebastian operating at the peak of his creative powers. Fuelled by tough driving beats and layers of hypnotic percussion; it’s Sebastian’s stirring melodies which ultimately shape the piece into a memorable dance floor slam. Colourful cascades emerge leading into the main break, sitting in an emotional headspace and bringing with them trails of balmy atmospherics and effervescent effects, before eventually breaking off into a drop of rebounding rhythms and heartwarming chord changes.

Selection two ‘Elements of Nature’ lands with an equally impressive display of craftsmanship. Sebastian re-affirms his ability to tip a late-night dance floor over the edge, with wobbly grooves and hip-swinging percussion laying the foundation for misty atmospheres and smoky instrumentation. Sitting comfortably in an ethereal yet thought provoking space, thumping beats rise out of a soulful strum-led break into an ever-evolving, free form finale.

The EP’s final selection ‘Hypnotica’ finds Sebastian continuing to diversify his portfolio with a whimsical creation that’s nicely dialled for the sunrise hours. Deeper in design and highly stylized in delivery, its beautifully contoured, funk-fuelled groove sets the course for incandescent melodies and otherworldly harmonics to create a panoramic musical skyline. Often celebrated for his ability to create emotional themes, Sebastian has ventured further with the ‘Blizzard’ collection, into a time of true innovation, traversing a multitude of realms and dimensions within the progressive spectrum, while excelling throughout.

Founded in 2020 Future Avenue is an electronic music imprint which operates under the Sound Avenue umbrella. Sitting alongside fellow subdivisions 3rd Avenue and Crossfade Sounds, Future Avenue looks to provide a home for new and rising talent. With an ethos centred around progressive music and its surrounding derivatives, the label is a platform which gives up and coming artists a chance to showcase their music alongside established veterans as they carve out their own musical identity.

Colombia's progressive superstar KAMILO SANCLEMENTE is back to Transensations with another powerful single 'FRAGMA' , alongside top notch remixes from DJ RUBY , EMPHI and OHKO and SPURI.
Kamilo Sanclemente has risen into one of world's greatest progressive house producers, with releases on regarded imprints such as Anjunadeep, Replug, The Soundgarden and Proton, while earning continued support from the genre's biggest tastemakers, building a strong career on the global progressive scene.

Fragma, is an impeccable rolling hipnotic progressive gem, filled with Kamilo's trademark energy and percussive groove, building an intense dancefloor track. The first interpretation of the track , comes from Malta's DJ RUBY , making his debut on the label. The legendary DJ, an ambassador of the underground progressive house scene, brings a powerful remix adding his trademark with a solid groove and positive vibe to the track.

The next interpretation, comes from the top producer EMPHI, returning to the label with another great remix, imprinting his sound signature creating a dancefloor delightfull version of the track. Closing the EP and making his debut on the label, Brazilian producers OHKO and Spuri, with expressive releases through acclaimed labels such as Sprout Music, Ballroom and Einmusika, gaining support of important players of the scene such as Laurent Garnier, Wehbba, D-Nox, Pan-Pot and Maceo Plex, brings a more melodic techno oriented version of the track.

'Label favourite Luciano Scheffer, the Brazilian DJ and producer, returns to the ever-reliable Hope Recordings.

We are treated to a pair of new gems, kicking off with 'Sinceridade'. From the off, we're instantly lulled in with a brooding and infectious bassline that bubbles and sets the tone with some hazy and dreamy vibes, while an underlying energy throbs away. The track gently intensifies as the layers expand and the grittiness increases, all while still leaving an ethereal feeling of warmth throughout. Solid!

Next up, it's 'Austral', with its full-on dramatic soundscape, fusing darker and tougher flavours with the incessant 3-note riff, and all underpinned by a warm blanket for additional depth. Madloch's Sound Avenue imprint opens the month of August by presenting the fourth installment of their ‘Re:Imagined' series. With the inaugural edition landing in February of 2020, these Various Artists EP showcases take a look back over the label's catalog, presenting new interpretations from some of the freshest talent in the underground.
