PREMIERE: Edu Schwartz - Shadows On The Wall [Circle Of Life]

Tenzella provides three heaters for his debut release on Alan Fitzpatrick’s We Are The Brave imprint. The UK producer kicks things off with lead track ‘Direction’, a Detroit inspired roller with intoxicating synths pads and loopy vocal.  Next up ’Dazed’, keeping things interesting with it’s clashing 909 claps and heavy rolling groove. The EP closes with ‘Blizzard’, a slice of peak time techno, driven by module bleeps.

The album starts with an indie dance vibe track. The first track 'Risky' brings us bright synth lines with an original bass guitar sound and fill-in analog percussions.

The story continues, with the track called 'Nebula' which is also the title of the album'. The nebula is an interstellar cloud of dust. The song builds up little by little with deeper synthesizer melodies and a special atmosphere. It's a clever approach and a great ending. A perfect finish for the album.

'My Favorite Robot welcomes back Rework as they prepare to kick off their 2021 schedule with three-track EP ‘Always Done’.

Rework is the alias of Daniel Varga, Michael Kuebler and recent joinee Elmar Mellert. Since making their debut in 2012, the duo has released albums and EPs on Playhouse Records, Visionquest and their exlove imprint, as well as of course My Favorite Robot. This April welcomes the arrival of three entrancing new cuts in the form of the ‘Always Done’ EP.

Sophisticated opener ‘Anything’ is a laid back house affair, cut with delicate spoken word vocals, sonic FX and an immersive bassline sequence to deliver a genuinely enchanting production. ‘Cracked Edit’ picks up the pace as tight percussion works against an arpeggiated bassline to great effect, before ‘Always Done’ rounds out proceedings smoothly via dubby chords, rumbling low-end and hypnotic melodies.'

Because of that, music always played a big role in his life. Growing up as a teenager he got inspired by the first wave of progressive house acts like Sasha and John Digweed. You can still hear these influences in his own music productions. His sound nowadays can best be described as Melodic Techno Berlin style.

Bristolian DJ and producer, edetto, has been immersed in his home city's thriving electronic music scene for the past few years, and comes to the attention of fellow Bristolian, and @ei8htrecords label boss, @eatseverything, who has plucked four tracks from the rising talent to form the ‘Hustler’ EP.

Already with three self-released singles under his belt, edetto presents his drum driven productions for Eats Everything & Andres Campo’s EI8HT imprint, which has been driving intelligent and funky techno releases from the likes of Truncate, Gaston Zani, Black Girl / White Girl, Dave Sinner, as well as releases from the label bosses themselves.

Crisp and rolling techno sounds are stamped all over the ‘Hustler’ EP, each of the four cuts peppered with vocal refrains. From the propulsive pace and rasping bleeps of the title track, to the swinging jack-trax vibes of ‘Two Toads’, edetto demonstrates his ear for infectious and spirited techno tracks that have him in good stead for a luminous path ahead.
