After the success of 'A Man Said' and 'Way To The Other World', French producer Florian Gasperini @florian-gasp returns to univack with 'Les Voies des Fleuves Indiens', an EP with two originals plus a remix by one of the most important artists on the Organic House scene at the moment, Polish Greg Ochman @gregochman .

The two originals composed by Florian Gasperini are an example of the most emotional and deep style of this producer, full of warm and melancholy harmonies, sinuous chords, sweet vocals, and tribal elements.

Greg Ochman makes his mastery of the music evident, and his skills to accompany it with a lot of melodic and percusive elements. His version of  'Les Voies des Fleuves Indiens' is perfect to dance it at sunset... just wonderful!

Florian Gasperini - Les Voies Des Fleuves Indiens (Greg Ochman Extended Remix) [Univack]

'Higher States opens the summer season by showcasing new interpretations of Roger Martinez's 'De Machtige Trip'. With a career now spanning well over a decade, Roger's transcendent style has long been a favourite of the world's top DJs. Cid Inc, Eelke Kleijn, John Digweed, Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Sasha have all been steadfast supporters over the years, and remain as progressive music continues to grow and evolve. Sitting prominently on Roger's resume as one of his most well-received tracks has been 'De Machtige Trip'. Released in 2013 via GEM Records, the production was beloved for its timeless musicality and pristine techno framework, ultimately finding a place in a wide assortment of DJ sets. Now, looking to breathe new life into the track for 2023's summer season, Higher States invites Alex O'Rion and Roger himself to re-imagine the production in their own essence.

Leading the release off is Roger’s 2023 rendition which once again proves his craft must be taken to heart. Rather than burst into a dancefloor whirlwind or electronic symphony, Roger’s update evokes its emotions through slow burn repetition. Dodging expectations and emphasizing its conceptual charm, it paints idyllic scenes of solitude, as hypnagogic arps unveil a semi-conscious dreamland powered by perfectly manicured beats and rebounding rhythms, before the Dutch artist's melodic attitude reveals itself during a second act of colourful synth phrasing and mesmerizing progression. 

Making a return to the label with the second and final interpretation of ‘De Machtige Trip’ is Alex O’Rion. Rising out of a successful career as a trance producer, Dutch artist Alex O’Rion took inspiration from the likes of John Digweed, Nick Warren and Sasha, to forge a path into the world of progressive house. Alex’s groovy melodic sound found its footing quickly thereafter, as he notched releases via Nick Warren’s Hope Recordings and Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music. Moving forward, 2020 proved to be a breakout year for the Nijkerk resident. On the strength of projects for Replug and The Soundgarden, Alex rose to Beatport’s #3 best-selling progressive house producer, paving the way for releases via Guy J’s Lost and Found and UK behemoth Anjunabeats. Having continued on an upwards trajectory moving forward, Alex now sits comfortably amongst the genre’s elite as he continues to tour the world, delighting crowds with his impeccable taste and exquisite programming skills. Having made his Higher States debut in 2020 with ‘Imagine’, an EP co-produced with Antrim, Alex now makes a welcome return to the label with a groovy take on ‘De Machtige Trip’. No stranger to the progressive community, Monojoke's productions can be found on well-revered imprints like JOOF Aura, Soundteller, Balkan Connection and ICONYC to name a few, while his collaborative project 'Fluente', together with Tuxedo, saw releases on Hernan Cattaneo's "Sudbeat Music" as well as Hot Since 82's "Knee Deep In Sound", with a new appearance on Nick Warren's "The Soundgarden". From his debut appearance on Juicebox Music via his remix of Subandrio's "Sigiriya" back in 2016 to his "Arterials" EP in 2017, we welcome Poland's very own - Monojoke, aka Jacek Gumbisz, back to the imprint with another peak-time 2-tracker EP, making his mark as one of our label's most esteemed artists. Both "Cold City" and "Superficial" feature his signature percussive-driven groove, driving basslines and larger-than-life atmospheric melodies, creating monstrous epic moments in sets. 

The sole remixer for this EP is Netherland's wonder-kid - Kasper Koman. Even though he's been producing for nearly over a decade, he recently burst into the scene with his fresh and unique style, highlighted by his releases on Guy Mantzur's "Plattenbank", Sonic Union's "Lowbit", Paul Hazendonk's "Manual Music" and more recently Mike Koglin and MoodFreak's "YOMO". His music transcends the traditional 'genre' expectations, providing a much-needed palette cleanser. Kasper's remix of Monojoke's "Cold City" is a masterclass testament to his technique - tight drums, a funk-inspired bassline, sprinkled cosmic effects while twisting and morphing the original parts to give a new life without losing sight of the dancefloor.

Eros, is the 7th EP of Various Artist from Droid9 South America, it includes 3 original mixes of pure Progressive House made by great artists. Among them are Argentine producers such as Konte, Andres Moris, Colou Befu and Ignacio Berardi.

Voice of experience, is the first track on this EP, made by Konte. In this track you can appreciate an ambient and dark sound, along with a very well achieved base, accompanied by a deep house sound to some extent. This creation keeps us in tune all the time, it is an ideal track for any time of the night, either at the end of a warm up or to generate a calmer atmosphere in an extensive set.

Into the light, is the second track, made by Andres Moris. This track obtained the support of Guy J (Echos 11/13/2020), in it we can notice in this creation a fine mixture in the Progressive House style, you can see solid drums accompanied by a powerful bassline, which when combined With the melody it begins to take us on a one-way trip to another dimension. Everything that seemed heavenly turns dark, minimal-style sounds begin to enter our ears which keeps the crowd to keep moving. It is an ideal track for any type of environment , in which listeners will go through different states of mind when being heard.

Sayonara, third track compiled by Colou Befu and Ignacio Berardi. You can see in this creation, a mix between an aggressive yet hypnotic and enveloping sound that progressively mutates and takes us on a journey from beginning to end. The combination of drums, melody and bass makes it sustain a good groove for the dance floor, which holds us to the floor and keeps us in constant motion. Undoubtedly this track can be used to exploit the night on any given dancefloor
