'A year after ‘The First Milestone’ we can say that Infinite Depth reached its second milestone. Around this milestone a 10-track strong VA is compiled. On this VA there are some of the label’s familiar faces like His. Creator, U S H N U, Klankveld, Alberth and Symmetric. Besides, we are having back Convolute, Altman and bastinov from earlier remix duties. Also, Infinite Depth is welcoming two new talents, Final Request and Dario Gismondi. 

The sixth of the VA track is the one by bastinov, called ‘Transition’ and is belonging to the brighter and emotional side of the VA. The track got directed by dramatic female vocals, which are perfectly in play together with the bright lead synths.'

His sound is broad and genre-defying, taking listeners on a journey through underground house, acid & techno that is tough yet intricate and deep. Saytek's esteemed "Live On Tour" series features an accumulation of live tracks recorded at shows over the years and has been met with acclaim from Carl Cox, Nicole Moudaber and John Digweed, who all supported on their renowned radio shows. 

Due to the pandemic, "Live On Tour" was brought to a close, but this period has led to Saytek creating more live material than ever with various live streams performed over the last year. Saytek is keen to keep releases flowing on Cubism, so the tracks on offer here were recorded live during Saytek's streams and edited out with next to no post-production. 

The five tracks display Saytek's energetic production prowess with uplifting atmospheres, rolling grooves and invigorating synthesis featuring throughout the cuts.

Returning to Récits de Mars, Kapibara deliver Gaboon, and includes a Jay Fase Remix. Dance music’s prolific Italian-born London-based sharpshooter Riva Starr set to release fourth artist album Curveballs via Adam Beyer’s revered Truesoul Records on 26 October, alongside a 4-track sampler to precede the LP on 21 September.

Riva Starr has been shaking up the world of dance music with his eclectic and unpredictable palette of sounds and styles for over a decade. Over the years, he has racked up numerous accolades and achievements including releasing 3 acclaimed albums (If Life Gives You Lemons, Make Lemonade in 2010, Hand In Hand in 2013 and Definition of Sound in 2016), having a myriad of single/EP releases on some of dance music’s most established labels (Snatch! Records, Hot Creations, Relief, Crosstown Rebels, Dirtybird) and amassing an impressive remix resume of artists including; Audion, Groove Armada, Dennis Ferrer, Usher, Estelle, London Grammar, Fatboy Slim, Reboot and David Morales.

Toronto native Greg Gow signals his arrival on Truesoul with a versatile three-track work.

Greg Gow has been crafting soulful techno, imbued with influences from Detroit and Toronto for almost two decades. He’s 2009 classic ‘The Bridge’ played a pivotal role in relaunching Derrick May’s legendary Transmat imprint, while releases on Kevin Saunderson’s KMS, Dubfire’s SCI + TEC and tracks on his own Restructured Recordings have stamped him as a vital artist for tastemakers.

His debut traverses a triple of cuts, each embodying a timeless driving vibe fitting Gow’s functional dancefloor ethos, making them a perfect fit for Adam Beyer’s Truesoul. ‘Memory Flash’ is a bouncy ‘90s throwback full of spirit, as Gow begins by showing his housier side to punchy, euphoric effect. Title track ‘People Mover’ lifts the intensity of the work, as a synth groove builds the atmosphere throughout. ‘Hidden Pictures’ is a deep, thoughtful techno weapon, driven by minor key stabs and a spoken word sample from Robert Hood about minimalism that kicks with Motor City spirit.

Following the exhilarating ‘Baby’ on Drumcode, Tiger Stripes returns to Truesoul with a pair of retro-inspired house cuts. 

The Swede has one of the deepest discographies in house and techno, marked by an ear for deep grooves, dynamic arrangements and cleverly utilised vocals. In a career spanning 15 years, those-in-the-know won’t argue: he’s one of the industry’s most dependable and creative talents. 

His last outing on Truesoul was the inspiring cross-genera collaboration ‘Sound of The Bettest’
with Riva Starr. A year on, his return ‘Sneaking Hotdogs into People’s Pockets’ likewise revels in scribbling outside the lines. The title comes from a segment on the popular Youtube Channel Vlog Creations and the track similarly fizzes with the same sense of fun. Tiger Stripes says he wanted to create a cut influenced by his “guilty pleasure” of ‘90s influenced dance pop music, while crafting a work that stays true to his production style, imbued with plenty of depth, groove and soul. The resulting vocal-driven track does this with deft spirit. ‘Guidelines’ is similarly a trip down memory lane. Named after the club night he used to run in Stockholm, he extracts influenced from his home country’s fertile scene in the early 2000s, where disco-influenced house and techno ruled the roost.

Clash Lion boss Shall Ocin drops a trio of tracks to mark his debut on Truesoul.

In recent years the Argentinean-born, Barcelona-based artist has established a fine pedigree, releasing on quality labels such as Ellum, Hotflush and his own Clash Lion imprint. What makes Ocin’s productions distinct is his utilisation of modular synths, analogue rhythmboxes and custom-made effects, resulting in an organic and altogether explorative take on techno.

The title track ‘Isolate’ is a thick brew of blistering acid and analogue grooves ripe for the peak-time that shows of Ocin’s flair for rhythmically engrossing arrangements. ‘Believe’ is a deliciously disorientating exploration into the deep, as eerie effects and vocals dip in and out of the multi-dimensional cut. The beguiling ‘Archaea’ rounds things out on the melodic tip, with lashings of deep atmospheric layers and synth stabs throughout.

There’s no rest for Tender Games. Shortly after his disco anthem “Movin’”, the German-Jamaican producer and soul singer serves his next midnight snack. “Love Was The Motive” is even more funky and playful than its predecessor. With its clavinet groove, upright bass and afrobeat percussions, “Love Was The Motive” feels like a real 70s funk throwback.

The original track comes along with two remixes by Pépe and Marc Brauner. Fasten your seatbelts for Pépe’s “Liebesmotiv Remix” and join this breaky night ride full of pumping upbeats. Ramping up the ferocity to full play, Yubik resculpts the VA boundaries like there’s no tomorrow, throwing out intense shade and making us tick nervously in between the nooks and crannies, as the beat whips itself confidently to form the outline. As they pine themselves away, stone-cold pulsations leather against the velvety vocals of the original ‘Movement And Codes’ from Recent Arts, creating a rather haunting climate which mystifies to full voltage. “A lightning bolt” as so perfectly put by Yubik, we can feel the ground shaking as the drums blister down and slay around to their demise. For a brief, yet completely beautiful moment, the atmosphere swirls itself to let the intensity blow over, before the climate regains stronger ground to a more authoritarian frequency, splicing the intensity and raging itself chaotically till its temper boils over and the volume has over-expanded the electricity.

Recent Arts - Movements & Codes (Yubik's We Are Fictional Edit)

Poised and purposeful, make no mistake in thinking ‘Seremonial’ is here to be left on the side. A contrasting surprise from the previous track, Santiago Garcia strikes us with his forced and chaotic approach which bleeds intensely from the start. Jumping up and down with 80s-inspired computer strokes, a dented whip helps shuffle the structure into a more merged stance, where the elements take their edge of the intensity and move forwards, and, at times show us hope from the deep murky depths of all which is surrounded. Hardly a breath out of sight, we are pelted with a distorted-rocking synth which continues with unattainable courage and determination. As we boil in at five minutes, the walls come tumbling down and push us back into intense frenzy. A piece which echoes the beginning of Santiago’s next steps: creating intense dark moments, but giving hope, ‘Seremonial’ is made for the current times we find ourselves living in.

Drumcode heavyweights Pig&Dan and Victor Ruiz link for their maiden collaborative EP.

The project begun in the first quarter of the year when the artists were still touring and was later completed during a series of productive sessions after lockdown – Pig&Dan members Dan Duncan and Igor Tchkotoua experiencing a creative synergy with close friend Victor Ruiz that injected some lightness into an otherwise challenging time for the trio of producers.

‘Consciousness’ is driven by a catch low-end riff that’s powerful and funky in equal measures and is a particular favourite of Adam Beyer’s, highlighting the boss’ Drumcode Indoors II and Tomorrowland’s United Through Music stream.
