Fabrizio Rat - La Machina


« Take a piano, the classic and romantic instrument par excellence, and project it into the hypnotic and powerful soundscape of techno music ». 

Following two Eps, ‘’La Machina’’ (Optimo Trax) and ‘’Technopiano’’ (Involve), Fabrizio releases his first album of hybrid techno, with an innovative sound palette. The Pianist combines the acoustic sounds and weird harmonics of his prepared piano with the acid loops of the TB-303 and the beats of the TR-909.
« I want to play like these machines that I love, to translate their exactitude and imperfection with my human nature, to open up new paths, and play with our errors. The repetition process let me enter another dimension, a state of trance where the physical effort disappear, and control is not necessary any more, I just need to be carried away by sound, with a bit of luck. »

Unsurprisingly, it’s in front of the dancefloor, in clubs or festivals, that Fabrizio plays his live sets. With the right hand he plays repetitive rhythmical patterns while the left one handles the machines and manipulates the piano strings.
His goal is to reach « the trance, to project on the dancers the hypnotic state of my right hand moving on the piano ».

Founded in 2013 in Prague, POLYGON has been a collective of friends, an intersection of various interests projected into long dark club nights. POLYGON has now also become a label, once again reflecting our shared aesthetics and searching for that certain feeling.

Few people bring a truly original sound to house music. At a relatively young age, Hamburgs Martin Stimming did just that, demonstrating a sophisticated yet accessible sound that is beyond his years.

Two years after hooking up with Solomuns Diynamic Music, his 2008 breakthrough hit Una Pena made the electronic world sit up and take notice, and before long acclaimed labels like Freerange, liebe*detail, Buzzin´ Fly, Green and Poker Flat were snapping up his work. 2009 saw him release his immaculate debut album Reflections to great acclaim, cementing his reputation as one of the most exciting new producers of his generation. 

His second album, Liquorice, eschews the normal kick-clap/snare template by and large to explore more interesting and progressive territories, but always with that trademark magpie-like sense of texture, emotion and discovery. 

His productions are filled with a multitude of his own unique, charismatic field recordings, and he never uses the same sample more than once. 

2010 saw him pick up an award for Best Newcomer at the Ibiza DJ Awards, following on from his live show (Stimming does not DJ) stunning the crowds at the islands legendary Pacha, and the finest danceries around the world Πfrom Berlins Panoramabar to Sao Paulo´s D-Edge, Brussels Fuse, London´s fabric and Paris Rex, and plenty more beyond. 

Remixes for the likes of Sascha Funke, Claude VonStroke, Deadmau5, Stephan Bodzin and Tom Novy to name but a few have further spread his influence amongst the discerning house and tech community, and cemented his reputation as one of the scene´s most exceptional producers.

Clearly, Martin Stimming is a precious talent indeed. But then again, not everyone loves liquorice...

Egothermia Recordings has been founded in the year 2012. We initiated Egothermia Recordings in order to complete the Egothermia platform as a supporting tool for young artists in Electronic Music. The label philosophy is as simple as demanding: helping young producers and DJs to release their music without depending on Major Label structures. The releases can mainly be assigned to the genres Techno and House.

Designed as unique integral researching platform for studio sound experimenting, stage performances and multimedia presentation of new sonic structures, the Egothermia Records also appears in a form of a music label. Its whole purpose is to support the artists in spreading their creative output in the both music universes, analog and digital one. This label is the latest manifestation of the creative spirit caught in the notorious electronic platforms such as Techno, Tech-house, Minimal which established the alternative sound of Netherlands electronic music in the worldwide circuit. But as it is created from collective vibe, stuffed with technology, open to your mood, effective on sucking it in, this time the aim of the whole platform and its representation in the form of Label Egothermia is much courageous. It makes you feel above, between, inside - extremely you. This feeling is based on Egothermia. It helps to enjoy life. Period.

La Fiolle découvre les musiques électronique en 1990 à Paris avec l'apparition des Rave Party. Tout de suite, il tombe dans le mix sur vinyls pour évoluer exclusivement dans la sphère privée. Durant trente ans il joue du Garage à de la Darkpsy en passant par de la Deep-house, Prog, Trance Goa ou HardTek. Depuis peu il découvre un tout autre univers avec le Downtempo et la Techno, décide également de jouer en public, et nous partager un son plus calme mais pas forcément moins puissant.

La Fiolle discovered electronic music in 1990 in Paris with the arrival of  Rave Parties. Immediately, he falls into the mix on vinyls to evolve exclusively in the private sphere. For thirty years he has been playing from Garage to Darkpsy, passing by Deep-house, Prog, Trance Goa or HardTek. He recently discovered a completely different universe with Downtempo and techno, decided to play in public, and share with us a quieter sound but not necessarily less powerful.
