RW&TL is one part of my soundtrack for a local movie "City Stories", a portrait of six different people, six short cuts. They are about their life and visions, and future dreams in our rather small town...big and small things, that keep the engine burning...

This track is about a female dancer, her dance is inspired by sign language...
Playing table guitar was the only way to get some humble results in the wet cold...and the idea for the further arrangement. 
By the way - if a singer wants to add some lyrical stuff, spoken or sung, I would like to make a re-arrangement / second version :-)

Cat Alley is about where I live.  It's noisy, alive and sometimes frequented by the shouts of street-sellers.  The many street cats  are like mischievous and moody guardians keeping watch over this amazing raggedy place.

So, I was invited by someone to play an old, retro organ. We had been working on this song, so it was fresh in my mind. I played it while singing and recorded it on my phone and a hand-held cassette recorder. After some minor overdubs and home studio tweaks - here it is. Hope you lo-fi-lovers like it. The band seems to like it as much as anything we'd do with it in the studio. This might be our last recording of this song (pardon our self-deprecating humor. We love being in a band, but we joke about it often, also).

Young William James brought me the strange parchment bearing the Davies wax seal (a penguin and otter locked in mortal combat). With trembling hands I broke the seal. In strange calligraphy it said "you are invited to participate in Cosmic Tomfoolery"; it was signed "The universally esteemed Grand Duke Nicolas Rothchild Davies IV, the modest". I had heard of this Davies only in the stories of local villagers, and so I set out on my journey...
