Originally from NYC, I’m a 37 year old married father of two beautiful girls, I’m now down in music city (coincidentally, I was a musician when I was younger but no longer these days). Nashville is a great city for people passionate about music, it’s been incredible to live here. I’m an annual Bonnaroo attendee, and other fun fests I’ve been to are Coachella, Lollapalooza, ACL, Bonnaroo, EDC, and will be attending Bourbon and Beyond this summer.

I have an extremely eclectic taste in music. My musical journey roughly is as follows:

Dave Matthews Band was my first concert with friends and no parents. From there I got into classic rock and dipped my toes in the jam band scene. I went full send on Phish when I got into them and they were my favorite for years. Through Phish and all of their covers, I got into pretty much everything haha. Indie was a big part of my of life during college and my time living solo in NYC, and now I’m a fan of electronic music primarily.

If I had to state my favorites these days, my top three would be Four Tet, Radiohead, and Frightened Rabbit. My kids already seem to love music, they must take after their father!

Resident at Ecstatic Dance UK. I’m a producer, musician, facilitator, and designer, dedicated to conscious dance spaces. My journey started in the UK rave scene, through years touring in bands, and composing for film and TV. I love playful, deep, percussive and cinematic music—my sets blend my own productions with my latest favorites in the electronic scene. Revered producer and composer Daniel Avery returns with a new album and live show, his most ambitious works to date. Channelling every corner of his sound, Tremor is a bold and transportive body of work through euphoric shoegaze, submerged techno, ambient soundscape and industrial bliss. It remains unmistakably Avery, yet dramatically evolved.


With the album Avery has welcomed an inspiring cast of collaborators, including the likes of Alison Mosshart (The Kills), Walter Schreifels (Quicksand / Rival Schools), bdrmm, Julie Dawson (NewDad), yeule, Ellie, Art School Girlfriend, yunè pinku, and Cecile Believe. Each artist leaves their indelible mark, yet the record’s true power lies in the communal spirit at its core.

“This is a living and breathing collective,” says Avery. “Since the earliest recordings, Tremor felt like a studio in the sky, a space in time through which we could all pass as artists”, he reflects. “It’s the welcoming spirit of acid house with the doors flung open wider still to allow in every influence from my musical journey: the warmth of distortion, the stillness inside intensity, the transcendental beauty of noise... They have always been there in my music but now it feels like those ideas are being transmitted in Technicolor. This is a record for the post-rave comedown kids, the guitar heads and anyone else who wants to come along for the ride. Everyone is welcome.”

Tremor will be released by Avery’s new home of Domino on 31st October.
