A simple lyric and heartfelt song for Molly :)
Purpose:  To soothe and comfort my tween as she grows up! With her blessing, I share this story:

When my daughter had trouble falling asleep, we used to tell her to think of all the ponies on a carousel. We'd imagine the prettiest pony she can think of. She would get to paint it, decorate it, braid its hair, and focus on all of the details on the pony's design. What color gems will you bedazzle their saddle with? What song is playing on the carousel? Now that she is older, I wanted to share motherly wisdom through my mistakes and life experiences in the form of a song. I decided to choose the "Carousel" topic for my lyrical inspiration.

So What (with vocal)

This instrumental piece is dedicated to those buried in the 6,000 year old chambered cairn known as Greadal Fhinn in the Scottish Highland peninsula of Ardnamurchan. In a remote windswept area (the most westerly on the British mainland)the cairn is said to be the burial place of the Viking chieftain Ketill Flatnefr ('flatnose') who fled Norway in 888 AD and became known locally as Caithil Fin. 
On his death the sagas relate the use of this ancient site as his last resting place. Who knows what ceremonies were performed there in his honour or the rites and rituals for the dead in the millennia prior to the demise of old 'Flatnose'....

Pic: the main stone 'cist' which remains of the cairn entrance - evidence also suggests there was once a large stone circle around the 22 metre burial site.

This is my first recording playing with real drums. Beyond this I have been working in this short song for a long time, trying to do licks and solos the best I can. The track is a hard rock piece (without diminished scales! but I´m not really sure...). I hope you like it.

My punk arse needed to play something very raw immediately! Like right NOW! :) Gonna get bumpy and you've being warned! hell yeah, one minute (and now by persistent request two minutes :)! I bet it finishes earlier when you press a Skip button :P  

I broke 3 good guitar picks on my Yamaha electric bass on this outburst! and grinding the Fender Silver Bullet strings on Fender Strat, (couple of those on the cover art... ney I got more solid ones, but soft picks gave nice feel to jamn').  Played by me on Fender Start and Yamaha Electric bass. Used Line 6 Pod XT and B-52 LS-100 Head and 4x12 B-52 cab.

My very first soundcloud collaboration with Tainted Icarus, Icarus Fire and Legna   

Jeff (Tanited Icarus)approached me just over a month ago asking if I would be happy to do a rework on Walk All Over Me. I jumped at the opportunity, I lack recording knowledge and equipment, I remember thinking at the time he's got a job on his hands taking on this project but fuck he delivered and then some. 

Jeff got in touch with Icarus Fire who somehow managed to blend our styles to come up with a fantastic lead guitar solo and outro to the song and finally Legna who added the backing vocals to track.

I can not thank you guys enough for taking the time to work on this project.

Finally If Tainted Icarus comes knocking I suggest you work with him, his bass/guitar playing and attention to detail is second to none, its been a pleasure working with him,  we have had some laughs along the way, I hope its not the last time my friend.

The man: David Hannah brings the energy when he plays! Although he usually  performs a much heavier style of music than this, we were looking for that powerful, edgy sound in this song. It is truly an honor to have him helping us on this track!

A note from Bill:
This song represents an evolution in our song creating process. In the past I would write the song and then adapt it to Melissa's voice. I'd adjust the key and arrangement to make the most of what she can do. But, this song was written specifically for her voice. I actually heard her say, " It only happens when you're here." (in a different context, of course) and the song just started writing itself while I imagined her singing it the whole time. I built the piano, strings, arrangement and all right around her voice.

So, if you're a gigging musician you may have experienced this awkward situation where one of the band members says something like,"Hey, my girlfriend can sing." Next thing you know you're suffering through some god awful rendition of a Bonnie Raitt song and looking for a way to escape the stage. Anyway, that being said, the point is I'm not that guy. I'm truly inspired by Melissa's vocal performance! I hope that you will agree that magic is happening at the end of this track where Melissa and David are trading off. Will and I lay down the foundation but they just BRING IT!!!!!

As most musicians know you have to get licensing permission from the publisher of any song if you want to stream your cover version on Spotify, Apple Music etc. and if you want radio play. Also if you change any of the lyrics you also have to get permission. Imagine my surprise when Chuck Berry’s Publishers gave me the OK to change several of the words in this classic tune!
Needless to say “Johnny B. Goode” is considered one of the most recognizable songs in Popular music. It is credited as the first Rock ’n Roll song about Rock ’n Roll stardom. My version of this classic was deeply influenced by Peter Tosh. An interesting side note - when Chuck Berry originally wrote this song he changed “coloured boy” to “country boy” to ensure radio play.
