"In this world of confessional, first-person poetry, it is often refreshing 
to find a totally unique and divergent voice. Apryl's is a voice and style running along the lines of Neo-Romanticism and I use the term Romanticism in the classical sense, not the sentimental sense--yes, Neo-Romanticism sprinkled with a strong leaning toward Imagism and first person narrative, rather than first person declarative observation.
 
A lot of poets today seem intent on breaking away from the musical 
quality of poetry. Much of their work seems to bear more resemblance to flash fiction or simply prose with a metaphoric flavor. This is one complaint that can never be leveled against Ms. Skies.
