This original country tune depicts a bit of a dilemma where a woman attempts to get close to a guy who generally keeps people at arm’s length, away from his private world. He is very protective of his inner thoughts and fears rejection by “outsiders”. But she respects his reservations while maintaining her requests to get closer to the inner most man she desires. The song ultimately reveals what the man chooses to do.
