When I listen to noise, drone, and ambient music, I feel a mysterious space. In the extreme, sound is made up of these vibrations in the air, and I feel that creators like you are recreating these sounds!

A walk through Tokyo in the year 2095. Much has changed. Only the ravens of the Meiji-jingu Shinto shrine are still there.

A brief intermission from the present—this is a restored moment from six years ago, when I first touched the Pocket Operators and felt something shift. The PO-35 Speak and PO-14 Sub opened a new line of creation for me, and this short jam was one of the first sparks.
Now remastered in 4K with a new sound mix, it returns not as a statement, but as a breath between movements. A reminder of where things began, and how playfulness still finds its way into the process.
Not a full release. Not a throwback. Just a small interlude between deeper lines.

Bright Light Night Part 1

Remix and combination of VSS's tracks “Rain” and “Love” for a radio feature - 20 minutes of intense romantic dark ambient made with electric piano, violin-bow on electric guitar, analog bass synthesizer, effect-pedals, unsynchronized loops, two tube amps, breaking glass and field recordings. All sounds, mixing and production: Velvet Something Superdark.

He is a Swedish composer named Daniel Ståhl. Born in Stockholm, Sweden 1967 and is currently based in Stockholm. Studied composition at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm between 1992 and 1995.
