I've been writing music since I was about 16. I started out recording on my folks' old desktop with a terrible USB mic. I eventually upgraded some equipment, learned a new program, and have been posting ever since. I'm originally from the bay area and have lived there off and on for about 13 years, but have lived and grown in South Lake Tahoe for 20 years of my life, so this is my true home. I've played in several bands and with dozens of musicians here, professionally, since I was about 16 years old. I love it, it's my full time job, but my dream is to have my original songs reach as many people as possible. IVES is a Los Angeles-based pop/rock trio formed by California natives, Jason Tolliver, and brothers, Bryce Paul and Drew Newman in 2008. 

Upon releasing their debut full length album, "The Incredible Story of Mr. Birch" (produced and mixed by Kenny Riley), IVES quickly began garnering the adoration and support of fans locally and nationally while performing at southern California's House of Blues, El Rey Theater and more, supporting artists such as Dashboard Confessional, Kevin Devine, and Jars of Clay. Shortly after their debut, IVES hit the road on their first national tour with Eisley which propelled the three-piece into radio's College Music Journal Top 200 chart– quite the chain of events for an unsigned artist like IVES, but their journey doesn't end here. It was only a matter of time before the melodies of IVES graced commercial television on MTV's "Real World" and Oxygen's "Bad Girls Club", as well as being featured on YouTube's "Left 4 Dead - The Movie" with over 4 million views. 

Currently, IVES is gearing up to release their sophomore record, projected to release later this year.
