Helter Skelter formed in 1995 in Teesside, UK. They played catchy, energetic pop punk songs.

Deceptive Records asked the band to record 3 tracks to see where they were headed. The band decided that they would record 8! The resulting Chicken in the Shop E.P was a mixture of pop punk, acoustic rock and a jazz funk instrumental. Unfortunately Deceptive chose not to pursue their interest any further. 

The band were managed by Richard Rashman, head of Los Angeles based company Prestige Management alongside Neve, Malibu Stacey (Johnny Panic), Skandal and Busted!

Notable gigs: Radio 1's Sound City '98 in Newcastle and In The City 2000 in Manchester.

In 2000 the band changed their name to Skeat.
The songs ALONE, BRIGHT, JUST ANOTHER ONE NIGHT STAND and NEW DIRECTION were produced by Harvey Birrell, who had previously worked with the likes of Therapy, Snuff, Mega City Four and Dub War. The song NEW DIRECTION features backing vocals from James Bourne.

In mid 2002 Skeat decided to call it a day.
