Hungry Music has the kind of waterproof musical aesthetic that not many labels with under twenty releases under their belt have. The output is bold and atmospheric at same time. Travels through misty soundscapes are just one of their trademarks. The french label established its sound through a close circle of friends - namely, Worakls, N’to & Joachim Pastor.

It’s now time to let some of the most powerful recent releases get re-interpreted through six exclusive remixes.

The Hungry gang took on each others work and also invited luminaries and friends of the label such as Oliver Koletzki, Einmusik and Boris Brejcha to provide a mix for the first in a series of upcoming remix EPs.

Just as the sun returns to the Northern Hemisphere, Joachim Pastor get’s his Fixi road ready and takes us on a musical trip. Three free floating creations full of musical euphoria and funk filled grooves await! 

Starting off with the carefree “Fixi” track, which is based around a gently played acoustic guitar melody. Spheric effect work escorts feathery pads and strings, while the 4/4 house beat and thumping bassline keep things moving forward on the dancefloor.

Next up is the dreamy “Laos” song. Laid-back, slightly distorted synth and percussion sounds build smooth tension. The energy is fielded by a bright string section and completed by a mellow Marimba melody. 

Joachim is closing of this superb EP with the broken beat anthem “The Same”. A breathtaking field of panoramic sounds evolve over the course of four minutes. Pastor experiments with other worldly vocals and tight broken beats. Pure bliss!

Seven seems to be quite the magic number for Holly. Fresh from hitting Buygore with his seven-piece ‘Forward’ EP about ten months ago, the young DJ and producer from Portugal returns to blast Borgore’s record label with another seven-headed beast: ‘YAKAMOZ EP’.

One of the wildest EPs in bass music history, the YAKAMOZ EP is the body of work soon to lay the world’s finest clubs in ruins. Packing one solo composition (‘Who R U’) alongside six collaborations with respectively @atikmusic, @blaqoutdubstep, @duskus, @ecrazemusic, @twerlbeats and @itsydg, it’s a tempest that pours down onto the scene with its tidal waves of ear-splitting synths and trampling bass.

Since embarking on the scene three years ago, Holly has toured across the globe and released on popular labels such as Buygore, Dim Mak and Monstercat, all the while earning support from the likes of The Chainsmokers, Noisia, Bassnectar, Dyro, Borgore, Steve Aoki, David Guetta and Martin Garrix. One of the artists to watch in 2017 according to outlets such as DJ Mag and Run The Trap, Holly is a talent we expect to see a lot more of in the near future.

Release Info: 
Giorgia Angiuli, the globetrotting Italian, who has previously released on labels including Stil Vor Talent, Kindisch and Suara, is known for her innovative and outstanding live sets and her skills as a mutli-instrumentalist. 

The title track, for which the famous Eugenia Barone contributed the double bass, is backed with a remix from label boss Marc Romboy. Both have a slightly progressive air with Romboy adding some percussive drive and more presence in the main synth line. 

Giorgia's second original, Royal Breath, takes us deeper with its playful vocal cuts and mighty bassline whereas Multiverso, the fourth and final track, spreads a darker atmosphere with spacey vocal layers and synth sequences.

It’s often said that the gaps in between the notes are as important as the notes themselves. Stereo Underground pays homage to that attitude on his magical debut album, The Art of Silence, immersing the listener in widescreen atmospherics, succinct, spacious arrangements and stunning melody throughout. This wonderful record for Balance Music follows previous full-length artist albums on the Australian label from the likes of Clarian and Brian Cid. 

Born in Haifa, in the North of Israel, the artist otherwise known as Yariv Etzion begin his musical life as a drummer, spending his younger years circulating in the city’s hard rock scene. He discovered electronic music as a teenager when he moved to Tel Aviv, and soon began working at a record shop and DJing. His popularity rapidly grew, and production soon followed. His output as Stereo Underground began 2009, and in his debut year he received high praise from Mixmag and heavy DJ support for his hypnotic, progressive sounds. The project has always shown a great sense of musicality and ambition, and this full-length debut album is the natural culmination of his efforts over the last decade.

“An album, in my opinion, is the holy grail for a musician” he says. “I waited 38 years to give myself the peace of mind I needed to do so. It took me 10 months of writing, recording, sound design and mixing to create the final result.” That meant doing so in both the mental and physical sense. He took the decision to relocate to a wooden house in the countryside to create this stunning album, turning down incredibly high-profile festival bookings plus remix offers and release requests in order to dedicate himself to his vision. It’s an admirable approach that has yielded dividends. 

From the conceptual, ambient tones of openerFlying Glow (Prologue) through to the spine-tingling, airy breakbeats of closer For A Moment of Truth, this is a record full of slow-burning nuance and hypnotic progressions that induce a dream-like state in the listener. There’s mellow piano tones on The Art Of Silence, Moderat-tinged indie/dance crossover on Little Red Headand trancey euphoria on Above The Sea Of Fog. Echoesplunges into deeper territory and Breakfast on Marsgives a hazy, beatless breather mid-way through. Lost in Wordsis a fragile exercise in subtlety, with Wanderlust continuing the focused feel with a little more urgency. Mind Hunterteases with its incessant bleeps and squeals and early Underworld textures, while Technomalayayields a soaring crescendo before the broken rhythms of thecloser. It’s perfectly formed, segued and sequenced to present a truly cohesive, compelling vision.

"Nick Cave said music should be a vehicle” says Phil Kieran, “a thing you can put yourself inside, to be taken on a journey; to let your own imagination create the connection between life experience and the sounds you hear".

Kieran has been one of Ireland’s best producers for almost two decades, and when he spoke with Maeve about an album he’d been working on, he sounded a note of caution that, maybe, well, it wasn’t the sort of thing Maeve would like. If this was a shameless attempt at reverse psychology, it worked. Interest was piqued, the conversation continued, and the result was an enchanting, hypnotic album unlike anything heard from Phil, or anyone, before. That album was Life Cycling and it was quickly agreed that this would be the perfect record to serve as Maeve’s first full-length artist release.

In a world where everything is speeding up, Life Cycling slows things down, a painterly mosaic of the artist’s life, a vehicle into which he has placed his own experiences. Drawing in references as broad as Kraftwerk, Popol Vuh, even Bach, It’s a paean to the organic and human, drawn through the hum and whirl of machines and it taps a greater personal resonance for Kieran himself.

“It’s not easy to work out who you are deep down” he says, “never mind what that might sound like. For the last few years, I have truly been making music that is just me. I have collected all these experiences along the way and find I have finally got to a point I can describe a feeling I have inside; to look for that vibration that really resonates with me, to create it. Life Cycling is a vehicle, and place you can put yourself”.

Daniele Zonca aka Danny Lo Scippo was born in Bergamo, Northern Italy, in 1981. Start to djing in 2000 and to produce music; in 2007 won the "call4adj" contest that allowed him to open the last night of "Elita Festival" in Milan. In 2008 came out on the dutch label "*Back Home" with his track "Gamma".
After other releases in 2012 his new ep "Pads and Potatoes" (again on *Back Home) had great feedbacks.
He is also out on label like Inlab Recordings, Cinematique, Ideological, Animate Dummy Recordings and Forevergreen LTD. 
In 2010 he moves to Genoa for a new life with his girlfriend and his passion for electronic music.
As producer Danny, Robottino and Keller perform live in the trio project called "D.K.R." where D. and R. work on the sounds and K. on the lyrics. 
Is part of the project Officina Meccanica together with his friend  Robottino, an event in the city of Savona with live act of electronic artists like Fairmont, Ricardo Tobar...
