Richard is a British-Nigerian artist based in Berlin. He has a long track record that includes being the co-founder of the Berlin-based radio station Refuge worldwide. He’s also the founder of the techno, dub experimental label, Kynant Records, which has been running almost 10 years, starting with deep techno and now operating more in dub techno and experimental music. In 2023, Kynant Records released the first solo album of dub techno legend Paul st. Hilaire aka Tikiman in almost 20 years. Richard and Tikiman also regularly perform together with a little tour coming up this summer. With residencies at Waking Life, Gala and regular shows at Panorama bar, Richard plays techno, house or downtempo, always with a strong influence of dub and soundsystem culture, from the Caribbean via London.

It’s with the warmest pleasure to welcome long lasting friend @bas-dobbelaer to our podcast series. With playing the most beautiful sets at Mostra Festival, Above Below Festival and Freerotation this year. He also managed to record his latest ambient set at De Weide x The Voyage. As the support act of Moritz von Oswald.

Bas clearly enjoys all things deep and dub which resonates in his productions as well. Over the years he has released music on @sohaso, @trulerecords, @appiansounds and @ad93rec, and is responsible for the outstanding ‘What brings us together’ EP on our label, where he teamed up with Will.

To commemorate our recent tenth birthday we have a special one hour mix by our dear friend Vladimir Ivkovic. Vlad has been a great champion of the gun over the years and has supported us in every endeavour over the years. If you have been lucky enough to catch one of his six or seven hour Gun sets, you will know how special they are. when he plays, we always leave the pub knowing why we do this, as its always so special. Whatever the blend of styles, you always know you are listening to a Vlad set.. his ability to coerce the sounds into something larger and fabulously textured  is unrivalled, in our opinion.
So we are very pleased to be able to share with you this trimmed down mix from the man himself (Thanks Vlad). Trying to explain music is pointless when you can just listen, so i will sign off with that.. and cheers to all of you who come to well street and continue to support us.

Yeah it’s been a while since I shared a set with you guys. I’ve been recording but didn’t share anything yet. All the recordings were so long. haha! 

So here we are with a downtempo set. I’ve been all about the slow tempo’s lately. Hope you’ll enjoy the music. The beginning is pure bliss. Towards the end you might get the feeling things are getting darker but don’t be mistaken. :D I still find it very blissful. <3

Jane Fitz, one of rural regulars and a staple of its history, took the stage for two B2B sets on both stages this year.

Jane's choice to share a booth with AKIRAM EN, also a regular at rural, on the first day of the event brought together a large crowd of music lovers for a rare B2B experience that lasted four hours of deep groove sessions from late into the night until dawn. Enjoy this obscure mix set, that the two skilled selectors who have been described as “DJ's  DJ” have produced.
