Welcome back to S.Aers, who did a B2B mix with hometown buddy and legendary digger/DJ Alex Volar (link below) for number 186 - and under his wing here be Kris K - a newcomer to the DJ'ing world and this weird little niche of music we seem to co-inhabit. Producer/Dj based in Berlin. Razvan Botez aka Utip is an up and coming Berlin based artist who draws his inspiration from the city's unique underground house scene. His music combines a series of minimal and house elements with groovy beats. He enjoys and finds his escape in the beauty of connecting to an audience through the energy created by the sound of the music.

He has collaborated with labels like: Lemon Herb Records (UK), Layer Caked Records (UK), Musik Lab Records (Uk), Backstage Records (Romania), Ariki Records (Romania), Conceptum Records (Brazil) & Evaporate Records (Taiwan).

He played music in Berlin in Clubs like: Sisyphos, Golden Gate, Crack Bellmer, Birgit. He is currently a resident at Bloop London.

Around 2016. It started as messing around and turned into something I actually stuck with.

2. What makes YOU qwerky?
Definitely my obsession with modular synthesis. I love building sounds from nothing and getting caught up in the unpredictability.

3. If you were a cartoon character, who would you be?
Randall Boggs. Always moving a little differently.

4. What’s your favorite sound?
Water. It’s simple, but there’s something about how it moves and shifts that’s always soothing.

5. You’re making dinner at your house… what’s on the menu?
Ramen with kimchi, tofu, edamame, seaweed, and chilli paste.
