Whether traveling to gigs on horseback or by tour bus, Americana mavens The Brothers Comatose forge their own path with raucous West Coast renderings of traditional bluegrass, country and rock ‘n’ roll music. The five-piece string band is anything but a traditional acoustic outfit with their fierce musicianship and rowdy live shows reminiscent of stadium rock concerts. In fall 2017, “Campfire Caravan” featuring The Brothers Comatose, Mipso, and The Lil Smokies hosts three of today’s foremost emerging indie Americana bands as they trek across the United States to more than 30 cities. “Campfire Caravan” honors the musicians’ early days playing music, when they’d perform for friends and family in basements, living rooms, and around campfires. “Campfire Caravan” celebrates the American tradition of gathering communities around music.

Following three critically acclaimed full-length studio albums (Songs From The Stoop, Respect The Van, City Painted Gold), the five-piece string band disrupts the traditional album cycle and focuses their 2017/2018 release schedule on a series of strategically released songs. On Sept. 8, 2017, The Brothers Comatose releases a sun-soaked new single “Don’t Make Me Get Up And Go” produced by indie-rock legend John Vanderslice. Channeling harmony vanguards The Beach Boys, “Don’t Make Me Get Up And Go” is a nod to the delicate dance between two friends and trusting fate to either bring them romantically together or not. With lyrics written by the band’s tour manager Joe Pacini, lead singer Ben Morrison lends his crooning baritone to the fast-paced, feel good song.

“Going into the studio with Vanderslice was all about capturing the moment on analog tape,” says Ben. “We set out to record in a way we’ve never previously attempted. We did it live with all of us playing in the same room as if we were performing on stage. Vanderslice really understood the sonic landscape we were going for. He’s really a super producer, being a musician who has cut a lot of records of his own and produced albums by many great artists.”

The Brothers Comatose entered Vanderslice’s Tiny Telephone (San Francisco) studio with drafts of “Don’t Make Me Get Up And Go.” After working out the verses and chorus in the studio, bassist Gio Benedetti came up with the three-part harmony bridge. Vanderslice had the trio of Ben, his brother Alex Morrison, and Gio, head into the studio’s echo chamber with its five-second delay, and the boys did what they do best. They sang their hearts out, and the result is sublime.

The Brothers Comatose is comprised of brothers Ben Morrison (guitar, vocals) and Alex Morrison (banjo, vocals), Gio Benedetti (bass, vocals), Philip Brezina (violin), and Ryan Avellone (mandolin). When they’re not headlining The Fillmore for a sold-out show or appearing at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival, the band is out on the road performing across America, Canada, Australia, and hosting their very own music festival, Comatopia. In 2018, The Brothers Comatose will travel to Asia for a month of cultural music exchange and education with American Music Abroad, a program directed by the State Department.

Born in the early 80s in the south of France, Sacha has continued to develop his style during his successful international career confirming him as an influential figure in today's underground music scene.


 JOURNEY

His love for music began at the age of 14, when he put his hand on a vinyl of Genius (WU TANG) which was playing at a friend of his band of Skaters at the time. Even today he is unable to describe the feeling he felt that day, but it is from this moment and managing as best he could to buy his first MK2, that he will bathe for several years in the  world of Hip Hop culture (Skateboard, DMC & Graffiti) until he discovered the world of the night in his hometown, Cannes.

From then on, everything changed. Sacha's interest in "HOUSE MUSIC" was first sparked by Limelight Parties and "house" clubs on the Riviera which gradually led him to focus solely on electronic music to this day.  He then began his career as a DJ in the various trendy clubs of Cannes and began a collaboration with the Limelight team for events dedicated to electronic music.

The turning point in his career came in the summer of 2007, Sacha became the resident DJ of the mythical Palais Club, he then provided the warm ups for the greatest DJs in the world for 4 seasons then at the Gotha Club for 3 seasons.  During these years, he built his style sharing the turntables with artists like Solomun, Luciano, Marco Carola, Carl Cox, Black Coffee, Jamie Jones The Martinez Brothers, Bedouin, Guy Gerber, Sven Vath, Erick Morillo, David Guetta and  SHM and some big 'one shots' like Deadmau5, Nina Kravitz, Boys Noize, AME, Digitalism, Vitalic, Dj Tennis, Jenia Tarsol and Echonomist among others.

A highlight of his career was mixing for Prince's After Party, where Prince himself asked Sacha to "scratch" during his entire show, 2 hours of pure unforgettable happiness.

Moving to London in 2008, Sacha quickly obtained a residency at BEAT (It is what it is), as well as a succession of Gigs in more than 25 countries to mix in the biggest clubs and festivals, notably Middle Beast Festival.  (Saudi Arabia), Epizode Festival (Vietnam), We Are Festival (UK), Les Plages Electroniques & Pantiero Festival (France), Pacha, Destino, Lio (Ibiza), Moni (Mykonos), Be Tulum (Tulum), Aria (  Tel Aviv), for the best known …

At the same time, he is also one of the pillar DJs of the BAL des FOUS, a daytime party which today brings together more than 5,000 people on each date. The ball occupies a very important place in Sacha's heart and has had a strong impact on his career since 2013.


 PRODUCTION

 Sacha composes his music mainly with synthesizers and often vintage analog drum machines, he is passionate about these instruments which he has been collecting for a few years.
 His music is defined as contemporary, with Italo, New Wave flavors with a zest of Punk and a lot of Funk...

 In 2017, he released his first EP, ITADI, on Addicted Music.

 2019, another release but this time for charity, he released his famous track "BLUESON NOIR" on the compilation "Children of the Future" initiative of his friend MAGA on the eponymous label in order to help a foundation caring for young orphans  in Mexico.  All the income generated by the sales of the tracks was fully donated to them during the COVID19 health crisis.

 In 2021, he signs his next EP "LA CASTRE" which he produced with his lifelong friend GIOE on NEIN records.

2022 another Ep "Adastra" on Paradiso records with the talented DARIO DEA has just been released. 

 This particular year of confinement literally immersed Sacha in his studio, many models are about to be finalized and join his nascent discography.

From 1995 to 2005, he amassed a collection of approximately 5,000 vinyls of which he is very proud.
