An Italian star requiring little in the way of an introduction, Sasha Carassi has been involved in the dance music industry for 30 years. From resident DJ in his Napoli hometown to renowned producer with releases on a plethora of top imprints including Afterlife, Drumcode, Diynamic, and Bedrock, Sasha Carassi has constantly found himself at the cutting edge of an ever-changing industry. With a trademark cross-genre sound that has often featured on his own Phobiq label, Sasha now joins Perspectives Digital with a potent new interpretation of 2019's "Jormungandr". A huge kick propels the track forward alongside metronomic offbeat hats as a filtered arpeggio and growling stuttered bassline vie for attention in the early movements. As the rhythm section fades away at the breakdown, the rich arpeggio and emotive chord progression shine unencumbered, reprising familiar motifs from the original. Building to a rousing crescendo, the storming beat and cadenced bassline come to the fore once more in the latter stages.

PREMIERE: Darin Epsilon - Jormungandr (Sasha Carassi Remix) [Perspectives Digital]

This year's Burning Man received a record amount of rainfall (2-3 months worth of rain in 1 night) which led to historic flooding at Black Rock City 🌧️

The muddy conditions made it nearly impossible for vehicles to enter or exit and festival-goers became trapped in the Nevada desert.  Over 70,000 attendees were ordered to shelter-in-place at their camps and conserve food, water, and supplies 🏜️

Due to the heavy rain, my performance on Friday was cancelled 😢 but thankfully The Fluffy Cloud was able to add me to their Saturday lineup alongside Vintage Culture, Sharam, Giolì & Assia, and more.  Luckily a group of the most dedicated and hardcore Burners came down to lift our spirits and rave with us in the mud 🙌

A big THANK YOU to the Fluffer crew & family for making all of this possible and for helping me feel comfortable during this unprecedented disaster 🫶

For the 116th release on Perspectives Digital, label owner Darin Epsilon returns with Garuda Rising, a track born from a moment of inspiration during his recent tour in Bali.  The initial spark for the song ignited while waiting at Ngurah Rai International Airport, and from there, the idea blossomed into an electrifying fusion of deep bass, atmospheric depth, and captivating melodies.

Following the monumental success of his recent tracks Janissaries, Nirmata, and Tengri, Darin continues to push the boundaries of sound with his distinctive blend of melody, rhythm, and groove.  His unwavering dedication to creating unforgettable dancefloor moments has solidified his reputation as one of the most sought-after names in the global Melodic House & Techno scene.

The title Garuda Rising is deeply symbolic, drawing inspiration from the legendary bird-like creature of Hindu and Buddhist mythology that serves as Indonesia’s national emblem.  Representing strength, freedom, and resilience, the Garuda is a powerful symbol of the country’s rich heritage and spiritual traditions.  Much like its namesake, Darin’s track embodies a sense of ascension and transformation, with soaring melodies and driving rhythms evoking the spirit of flight and liberation.

Juan Deminicis is a talented young producer from Buenos Aires and a rising star in the Progressive House scene.  Since beginning his music career in 2005, he has earned praise from major international DJ's and signed with top-tier labels such as Global Underground, Armada, Flow Vinyl, and Baroque.  He reached a breakthrough in 2010 winning 1st place in Cid Inc's 'Filaments' remix contest.

Juan immediately caught our attention with his latest EP.  The title track Four Dimensions is a beautifully written piece with a mellow energy more suited for the beginning of a DJ set.  Flashbacks, on the other hand, is a full-on club track with the simple intent of satisfying everyone on the dancefloor.  Juan's musicality combined with his perfect understanding of what works for the dancefloor make this an absolute essential for all occasions.

PERSPECTIVES Episode 055 (Part 2) - Roger Martinez [Sep 2011]

Internationally acclaimed DJ and producer Darin Epsilon from Los Angeles presents the third compilation from his record label Perspectives Digital. Once again, he hand-picks ten of the highest quality Progressive and Tech House tracks that he feels perfectly capture the "Perspectives" sound. With his exceptional track selection and ability to know what makes a hit, he was previously able to steer Volume 2 to #6 on Beatport's Top 100 Progressive House Releases chart. Global Underground artist Eelke Kleijn is featured with a remix of Dave Shtorn's Magic Moments. The Dutchman's remix captures the listener with its brilliant soundscapes and takes you on a journey to the depths. The remix of Ian O'Donovan by legendary Japanese producer Satoshi Fumi is reminiscent of early Detroit House in a more modern outfit. Deepfunk's remix of Metamorph is a dark, but driving cut and features a Moroder type bassline cutting through an array of trippy sounds. Darin furthermore delivers with a brand new original track under his Eventide alias titled Goodbye World exclusive to this compilation. Finally, the compilation comes to a nice close with another great take on Metamorph by Luis Junior who transforms the original bassline in a captivating lead sound. This remix received heavy plays from Sasha and Dave Seaman. Much like his DJ sets, Darin's compilation follows a natural flow and continuous arc in energy and intensity. Artists that contributed to Darin's compilation came from all over the world: Russia, Spain, Canada, Poland, Holland, Argentina, Ireland, Japan, the UK, and more. This international setup translates into the varied, yet consistent feel of the compilation. The first few tracks start off with a more darker, moody feel, while slowly progressing into a more upbeat and driving sound. Darin Epsilon is a globally renowned DJ, producer, radio host, and label owner, widely celebrated as one of the pioneers of Melodic House & Techno and Progressive House. As the host of the Perspectives radio show and podcast, he has reached tens of thousands of listeners each month, solidifying his influence within the global dance music community. Since launching his label Perspectives Digital in 2010, Darin has continually expanded his artistic reach, further establishing himself as a key figure in the electronic music scene.

Originally from Chicago, Darin’s early career was shaped by his pivotal residency at the legendary Vision Nightclub. This was followed by his move to Los Angeles in 2008, where he worked with renowned brands such as Insomniac at Exchange LA, GIANT at Avalon and Vanguard, and Monday Night Social. His journey continued in 2017 when he relocated to Berlin, the world’s electronic music capital. By 2022, he further cemented his position on the global stage with a highly coveted DJ residency at Ritter Butzke, one of Berlin’s most beloved venues. 

Darin's career milestones are a testament to his pure talent and determination. In 2011, he gained international recognition by winning John Digweed’s 'Structures Two' DJ Competition, sponsored by Bedrock and Ableton Live, and in 2016, he was nominated for 'Best Progressive House Artist’ at the Beatport Awards. He also became the first artist ever to release a Progressive House production tutorial after teaming up with SonicAcademy.com, further demonstrating his expertise and commitment to music education.

Throughout his lengthy career, Darin has released on the industry's most recognized labels such as (in alphabetical order) Einmusika, Katermukke, Renaissance, Ritter Butzke Records, Selador, Siona Records, Sudbeat, and Warung Recordings. His tracks have consistently charted in Beatport's Top 10, and he has garnered widespread acclaim working alongside top-tier artists such as DJ CHUS, Fur Coat, Jerome Isma-Ae, Hernan Cattaneo, Miss Monique, Quivver, Robert Babicz, Sasha Carassi, Sebastien Leger, Sydney Blu, among countless others.
