Music is colorful, diverse and vibrant as the butterflies. Almost 180,000 different species live in 127 families. The music by Boris Brejcha is like a "Feuerfalter" (copper). On one side the butterfly is relaxing and floating on the wind, but on the other hand he also sets with steam and fire to a fall into a low altitude. This is how it feels when Brejcha makes music.

The fourth album is exactly the description of this "Feuerfalter", a kind of backflash into the impressive career of Boris Brejcha. An album that deliberately shows how the artist works versatile. Times slightly floating, sometimes wild hitting the wing, always full of passion. The influences of his travelings and performances characterize his art again.

This creates a music that may be accompanied on Brejchas audience the whole day: at home, in a relaxed atmosphere or just at night, when the trip through the clubs starts. On the album "Feuerfalter" this individuality is turned on. Brejcha even picks up the desire of his ans to weave a few quieter tracks into his cosmos.

German legend, Oliver Lieb needed no introduction to the techno cognoscenti when he joined the Proton Music roster at start of 2014. Already a producer of considerable repute, his powerful "Dark Energy" EP thrust forth with pulsating precision, returning now to Proton Music for the first time with a pair of remixes from two of the brightest shining stars of 2013 as Tim Penner and Scotty.A now revisit Oliver Lieb's Proton debut.

Canadian born Tim Penner's decade-long experience working in the electronic music industry has afforded him a unique perspective on the production process. Driven by a passion to derive innovative sounds from the manipulation of frequencies, Penner has been able to generate a unique style loosely based upon the blending of themes inherent in the techno, house and trance arenas. Genre-defying in its classification, his work has graced a host of leading labels including, Replug, Stripped and Flavorite with a clutch of credits also found on the Konstrukt imprint he runs with Brazilian rising star, DNYO.

A quartet of remixes including Lank and Dousk have confirmed Tim Penner's undoubted talents on the Proton roster while the twin-track, "Pyrogen" EP was a sublime techno highlight, representing Penner's debut solo release for the label. With a second EP, "The Tunnel" set to follow in the coming months, Tim's remix of "Dark Energy" cleverly captures the themes inherent in Lieb's original as the thumping vibrancy so integral to its core is built upon with his trademark flair for bouncing, effects-laden placement that sweep across the stereo spectrum in dizzying fashion. A dominant beat and regimental hi-hats keep the energy high as Lieb's lead motif is given a dynamic new treatment, surrounded by unrelenting rhythms.

UK artist Scott Andrews, operating out of the cathedral city of Norwich, has been a revelation since winning a remix competition for Denis A's "Heroin" on the Russian's DAR imprint. An accomplished DJ in his hometown since the turn of the millennium, further recent successes in the live arena have seen him perform at the John Digweed "Bedrock" night in London and Sasha's "Last Night On Earth" New Year's Eve gig at the capital's famous Brixton Academy. Over a century of Beatport production credits have been simultaneously amassed as a cross-genre style has seen Scotty provide best sellers for ARVA, Visceral and Axon, supported by such leading lights as Hernan Cattaneo, Barry Jamieson, and Tvardovsky.

A rapidly rising star in the Proton firmament, Scotty.A's first remix of Nick Stoynoff in 2012 was followed by two masterful solo EPs in 2013 as "The World Turns" and "Natural Senses" releases provided commercial success. 2014's recent, "Expressions of the Soul" cemented further triumph and confirmed a special rising talent. Remixing "Caldera", Scotty.A's richly textured offering is a joy to behold. Light shaking rhythms glide effortlessly across a path laden with percussive groove, vocal cut and an evolving rhythmic pad that warms the soul. As it develops, an ethereal lead line provides an emotive ambience, combined with liquid arpeggio that rises and falls in panned and filtered subtlety, expertly hinting at themes integral to Lieb's original.

With two new remixes from Tim Penner and Scotty.A, Oliver Lieb's "Dark Energy" has plenty of power left in its power-packed cells.

The 26th release on Darin Epsilon's Perspectives Digital features the debut of Roger Martinez to the label. Much loved for his releases on Sudbeat, Lost &amp; Found, Tronic, and GEM Records, the Dutch producer's productions are always highly sought after.&#13;

As 'My World' begins, the chugging groove and dynamic hits are immediately captivating. The Dutch native is one of a handful of producers who seem to have his production totally dialed in. With the hypnotic energy of the piece quickly rising, Roger's metallic rhythms become increasingly intoxicating. Following a short granular build, a wall of warm chord changes and bell accents brings the emotional content up to goose bump proportions.&#13;
&#13;
The first interpretation comes from Ricky Ryan &amp; Kosmas, who are two of electronic music's most tried and tested veterans. Ricky has grown into a globally loved DJ talent and his broad production sound has found its way onto Eelke Kleijn's Outside The Box Music. Kosmas was part of a highly esteemed group of producers (which included James Holden and Luke Chable) who revolutionized the melodic progressive sound in 2004. His early productions on Deep Records, Precinct, and EQ Grey are still regarded as some of the most influential recordings in the genre’s storied history. For their 'My World' interpretation, Ricky and Kosmas have overhauled the bigger original into a delicate deep house gem. The duo’s lazy groove is full of wonderful swing for those late night floors and the emotional content pulls at your heart strings mightily.&#13;

The second remix is provided by SQL, who is making his third appearance on Perspectives. The Dutch producer's meticulous discography contains releases on GEM Records, Get Physical, Outpost, and Flow Vinyl. With his 'My World' interpretation, he’s crafted what might be the best melodic construction of his career. The Dutch producer's hypnotic groove is full of warm, harmonic energy and the surrounding complement of musical elements are filled with blissful enchantment. An intensely emotional production that's sure to bring some amazing moments to your dancefloor.&#13;

The third and final remix is provided by Paul Hazendonk &amp; Noraj Cue, who are making their debut appearance on the label. Their collaborative efforts were a huge part of Paul's critically acclaimed debut album 'Adapt' released earlier this year. For their 'My World' interpretation, Paul and Noraj have put their own subterranean techno twist on the production. The raw, undulating foundation sends waves of mesmerizing rhythms. Raspy synth hooks, escalating atmospheres, and blissful harmonics soon fill the production. The end result is a composition that not only has a big presence but immense groove and emotion.&#13;

For our 6th release, we dug out what many claim to be one of the best Progressive tracks ever, having been included on none other than James Holden's seminal Balance 005. Darin Epsilon is a globally renowned DJ, producer, radio host, and label owner, widely celebrated as one of the pioneers of Melodic House & Techno and Progressive House. As the host of the Perspectives radio show and podcast, he has reached tens of thousands of listeners each month, solidifying his influence within the global dance music community. Since launching his label Perspectives Digital in 2010, Darin has continually expanded his artistic reach, further establishing himself as a key figure in the electronic music scene.

Originally from Chicago, Darin’s early career was shaped by his pivotal residency at the legendary Vision Nightclub. This was followed by his move to Los Angeles in 2008, where he worked with renowned brands such as Insomniac at Exchange LA, GIANT at Avalon and Vanguard, and Monday Night Social. His journey continued in 2017 when he relocated to Berlin, the world’s electronic music capital. By 2022, he further cemented his position on the global stage with a highly coveted DJ residency at Ritter Butzke, one of Berlin’s most beloved venues. 

Darin's career milestones are a testament to his pure talent and determination. In 2011, he gained international recognition by winning John Digweed’s 'Structures Two' DJ Competition, sponsored by Bedrock and Ableton Live, and in 2016, he was nominated for 'Best Progressive House Artist’ at the Beatport Awards. He also became the first artist ever to release a Progressive House production tutorial after teaming up with SonicAcademy.com, further demonstrating his expertise and commitment to music education.

Throughout his lengthy career, Darin has released on the industry's most recognized labels such as (in alphabetical order) Einmusika, Katermukke, Renaissance, Ritter Butzke Records, Selador, Siona Records, Sudbeat, and Warung Recordings. His ability to connect with audiences is unparalleled, and his relentless touring schedule has taken him from the world’s most prestigious venues—Ministry of Sound and EGG (London), Avalon and Exchange (Los Angeles), Stereo (Montreal), The Bow (Buenos Aires)—to the most popular festivals such as Amsterdam Dance Event, Burning Man, Ultra Music Festival, BPM Festival, South By Southwest (SXSW), and Berlin Dance Music Event.

However, it would be foolish to say that his achievements have been purely confined to the club setting.
