https://soundcloud.com/patriciakaas: It's quite a while since I've recorded a mix reflecting a dancefloor. So this one is definitely a special one. It captures my diverse taste for intellectual and tense electronic music. Filled with old gems as well as recently released psychotic tracks, the mix delivers a melomaniac rollercoaster. Take a dizzy sip!

The music of the Lithuanian producer Gediminas Jakubka, who turns into Patricia on stage, balances between borders. Patricia Kokett blends rave with mysticism, futuristic industrial with shamanic noise, and various reworked voices with hypnotic output. With his 2020 debut album ‘Bizarr’ (12” vinyl) on Dutch Knekelhuis imprint, Patricia Kokett quickly proved his knack for creating transcendental, immersive sonic experiences. 

Following up with touring around Europe’s clubs, the covid period was an existential stop and a deep moment of reflection. In addition to this, Patricia Kokett has finished the third EP entitled ‘Psykhe’, which was released on the ‘Isla to Isla’ label on 12” vinyl in 2023. Psykhe continues to explore his distinct sound, but taking it in a new direction: a step away from the euphoric new age dance floor and into a significantly murkier, more precarious territory.

Explaining his music as ‘trippy techno,’ Patricia Kokett enhances this epithet in highly emotional and wild live sets. The forthcoming live gigs will consist of new music from the upcoming record, filled with the trippy ethos of electronica. DJ sets always contain adventurous and challenging sounds, which lead listeners to uncharted territories.

Gediminas Jakubka also works as a cinema composer and has a couple of movies which has to be noted. ‘Animus Animalis’ by Aiste Zegulyte, released in 2019, and ‘Toxic’ by Saule Bliuvait,e released in 2024. The latter OST was released on a vinyl record and is being qualified as the second full-length album by Gediminas Jakubka/Patricia Kokett.

Trystero returns with their new album Humming Fuzz on Knekelhuis — a kaleidoscopic voyage deeper into the band’s expanding cosmos.
Built on plunging basslines, acid-drenched loops, and spiraling kraut-inspired guitar textures, the record drifts between hypnotic repetition and free-flowing, hallucinatory songwriting. It echoes the visionary spirit of Psychic TV and the genre-blurring universe of Weatherall, while carving out a raw, magnetic space of its own.
Recorded once again on a canal barge in the North of France, Humming Fuzz feels like a natural evolution from their debut Sfumare e Vedere — denser, more alive, and charged with electricity. Now expanded with Nelly on bass and Alexia on vocals, Trystero channels this expanded energy into their wild, expressive live performances, soon to ignite audiences on their upcoming tours.

Marco Soria aka DEVVIANCE is a DJ and party promoter based in Mexico City. Strongly shaped by the raw energy of classic EBM, hypnotic New Beat, and seductive Italo, his sets weave together timeless tracks and forward-thinking sounds into a distinctive and driving blend.

Beyond the decks, he runs TMLSS (timeless) CULTURE, a platform dedicated to avant-garde and electronic music. Through it, he has become a key force in Mexico’s alternative electronic scene, curating events that explore music as both an art form and a cultural movement—bold, uncompromising, and always evolving.

Machine Cult — the Amsterdam-based electronic platform run by Déandrah and Garçon Taupe — returns with the Edition Four release party at OT301 on 7 November.

The new V.A. compilation features tracks from Garçon Taupe, Bertram, 2:29, Beau Wanzer, Déandrah, and Masha Wordpress. At the launch, all contributing artists will play DJ sets, with Déandrah providing live visuals throughout the night.

Expect an evening of potent electronics and immersive visuals, celebrating the forefront of the underground.

Every motion leaves an echo.
A delay so small it feels like memory,
folding back into what made it.

Some parts of us cancel out — out of phase, out of step —
while others ring louder,
resonant at their point of friction.

The closer we listen,
the more we hear the shape of time itself:
not in repetition, but in resistance.

What we say
returns a few milliseconds later.
At low frequencies, we disappear;
near our cut-offs, we bloom.

Maybe living
is just tuning the loop
until it almost sings itself apart,
but not quite — building toward a new start.

Dark Entires Records is honored to re-issue the debut EP by FALL OF SAIGON. The band was born in 1981 when Florence Berthon (Vocals), Pascal Comelade (Organ, Synthesizer) and Thierry Den (Guitar, Vocals) met at a concert in Montpellier, France. They chose to the name the project FALL OF SAIGON after a song by UK post-punk act This Heat. They self-released their debut EP in 1983 citing Nico & The Velvet Underground, Suicide and James Joyce as influences.
At the time the band formed, Pascal Comelade was an accomplished musician with instrumental sketches composed for the trio. The 6 songs on the EP were recorded in two stages. "She Leaves Me All Alone" and "On The Beach At Fontana" were sung by Thierry and recorded at Pascal's home on a Revox 2-track in one shot. The four songs sung by Florence - "Visions", "Blue Eyes", "So Long" and "The Swimmer" - were recorded and mixed at the Montpellier Languedoc Video Animation Center by Jean Alain Sidi on two ReVox A77 reel to reels and a small mixer. On "Visions," "Blue Eyes" and "So Long," the group employed a drum machine that could only play four or five rhythms with a single slider to increase or decrease the tempo. The songs were minimal: verse, chorus, no bridge, no intro. Built on a simple spine, the songs create a feeling of space with just a voice and an organ or synthesizer melody. Full of class and inventiveness, FALL OF SAIGON are often compared to Young Marble Giants due to the fragile, ephemeral quality of the songs. 
All songs have been remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. The vinyl comes housed in a full color jacket using the original artwork from the EP and includes an insert with lyrics and photos. Through two years of existence, FALL OF SAIGON only released one EP and 30 years later their subtle sound is an essential guidepost in post-punk history.
