On Wax (GEN049), https://soundcloud.com/klahrk & https://soundcloud.com/kavarimusic pair up to present a basket of hammering, blasting club tracks with a focus on radical digital sound manipulations. The duo presents a sound design show-off consisting of raspy stretch algorithm artifacts, vocoded pulses and slimy granular flurries. Rhythmically, high impact overdriven kicks and syncopated motifs give the tracks a high energy urgency and momentum. Simmering, crusty chopped up break beats accompany stroboscopic pads, glistening metallic percussion and sweeping electro-acoustic gestures. Maneuvering naturally between almost snapping, bursting, fragmenting passages, effervescent glistening chords sometimes emerge, ready to get whacked by mangled, contorted drum machine outbursts.

On the B-Side, things go faster and thicker still.  B1 Moonra is a breaky tech-housey stepper, with a subaquatic feel. An uplifting deep dive, spookily playing with that one break we all know. But from really far away.  
B2 Grad has 2-step garage feel. One for the MCs. Erratic, energetic, hectic. But with a reassuringly repetitive bassline. Wait, we got one more ting:  The digi-only Ringtone is a dynamic, high-energy, digital xylophone excursion. Like Donkey Kong on ecstasy. And in space, somehow.

UK producer Renslink calls IM103 his first effort focused on the dancefloor, but it belies a lifetime steeped in it. This is prime material for the most advanced of DJs.

The first cut, Static, blends heavy, droning atmospheric sound design with the half-time template of dubstep, complete with jungle vocals. Before reaching the first half, however, it goes into a healthy techno gallop, making the track a perfect set opener if drama is your thing.

From that we go into the three-on-two mindbend of In My Mind, full of beautiful rhythmic trickery and rave culture nods in the sampled female vocals.

Cenotaph feels like a Pinch & Mumdance dub that they kept for themselves around the Control/Strobelight era, all rolling, persistent kick, dubbed-out dready vocals and dystopian hoover.

In Touching The Void we find a moment of drama and relative tenderness, as cinematic strings and choir soar over a busy rolling breakbeat. Occasionally, the proceedings are punctuated by a reese bass and bleeps fill that keep it fresh (an you on your toes).

Closer Silence is a mutant dembow wobbler with alien vocals by Nivalis, like dancehall for after the nuclear apocalypse, when we’ll have all the extra limbs we’ll need to dance to music like this.

Ethereal Skies are a Dublin based party and platform dedicated to avant-garde electronic music founded by Mark Davis aka darkmavis and Sean Murray debuting our first label release with Aerga Vol 01.

Aerga, aka "the air or the ether" (as Gaeilge) comes in the form of a jam packed VA compilation featuring twenty one up and coming and also established artists from the emerald isle and afar presenting avant-garde and genre bending club music which knows no bounds.

A project planned and developed to traverse the soundscape of alternative club sounds through local Irish artists and friends, the vision of what our Ethereal Skies platform seeks to present to the world musically comes to life. Aerga is a sonic journey that defies genre boundaries, contrasts the new skool with the oldskool and presents the dysfunctional possibilities of electronic music.

Aerga is a spectrum of sounds from ambient dreamscapes, to avant-trance, to breakcore, to experimental pop, to donk, to gabber, to neo-grime, to prog, hard groove and more.

If you‘ve been following the sound of neo-grime and wave music for the last couple of years, there has been no way around @eonesoundsuk.
The Brighton-based producer-powerhouse, DJ, lecturer at Point Blank Music School, and all-around top lad has assembled a deeply emotional EP for us, which we are happy to share with you all.
Ranging from 130 to 150bpm, it features 3 tracks, that clearly focus on one thing: to make you feel!

LOVE AFFAIR confronts you with the sense of longing for something quite undefined, but definitely out of reach, bathing the listener in razor-sharp, glacial soundscapes.

SPIRIT sparks that cinder of hope, that’s been inside you all along, but you forgot how to grasp. In an astonishing array of arpeggios, it pushes you forward while simultaneously triggering a familiar melancholy.

LOST is the fastest composition of the bunch, solidifying the foundation that the previous tracks have established.
It features sublime pointers to video game and rave culture while being rhythmically adjacent to UK garage. Faint vocal samples feed into nostalgia, which makes this the perfect round-up for the EP.

PS: It’s okay to cry in the club. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!

Fever AM presents Xen Chron ( @cleamy ) with his label debut “Deleted Vapor”. Based in Weymouth, Massachusetts, Xen Chron is the most recent alias from a producer active at varying levels of obscurity for over 20 years.

This EP consists of five tracks of forward thinking, psychedelic, broken techno that lean into “sci-fi sounds & atonalities, a sense of fun, & head nod factor” in his own words.
