We start the year off with the elusive Gumshoe DJ. He’s probably Sweden's most Incognito collector, sneakily pushing out some of our favorite mixes of the past year. 

For the Podcast, Gumshoe has stuck to his guns and assembled a mix of mind boggling dance floor gems from Cosmic Disco to greasy New Beat and spacey Middle Eastern chants.

This month I'm glad to host @missmoon for the second hour of the show with a mix from abstract break beat to futur jazz and house.  
Djing since the end of 1990's MissMoon was a real activist for electronic music in the south of france, inspired Detroit techno and Chicago house. She's also from my hometown and I've played one of my first gig with her back in the days so it's quite symbolic to have her in the show 🙃
i'm still amazed to discover that this part of france has known the golden age of rave parties and electronic music when i was a little baby - looks like I was definitely not born at the right time.

i've took care of the first part of the show with music from Jéroboam, @l-imperatrice, @smilingc, @ishkero, @backatcharecords @gintonicorchestra, @STR4TA, Renee Geyer 💜 and many others!

Reda Saiarh is a DJ and producer based in Geneva, known for his commitment to both the local and international music scenes. As the co-founder and programmer of Geneva’s cultural café, Canal 54, he actively contributes to the growth of the local culture while pursuing his music career. His first major record release came in 2021 with the launch of his vinyl on the Dutch label Afrobotic Musicology, which set his career on a new trajectory.

In 2022, after impressing with his track Kiki on the Trains of Thought compilation, Rosie Cain supported him in releasing a full EP, Comfort Zone, on her label, Human Endeavour, allowing him to embrace and affirm his style. Reda stands out not only for the quality of his productions but also for his commitment to humanitarian causes. In 2023, he contributed to solidarity compilations, including Put the Coconut Down to support Ukraine, as well as Rare 80s, in collaboration with Ransom Note and Mütesna Records, to assist earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria.

Inspired by the impact of such initiatives, Reda Saiarh launched an important project in response to the earthquakes in his native country, Morocco. In collaboration with Ransom Note and Rosie Cain, Tadamoun—meaning “Solidarity”—will bring together over 24 artists, including Bogdan Ra, Romain FX, JD Twitch, Anastasia Zems, and many more. His track Ma3akoum, meaning “With You,” is a distinctive signature. Remaining dedicated, he has also appeared on compilations supporting the Palestinian cause with tracks like New Beat Against the Machine and Malayika.

Alongside these projects, his performances resonate in clubs in Geneva and beyond, in cities such as Berlin at Oxi Club, Paris at La Rotonde Stalingrad, and Nantes at the famous Macadam. Reda is also a regular on influential radio stations like Rinse France, Kiosk Radio, and more recently, NTS Radio.

In 2023, Bowmore, the programmer of the show Club Selectors, offered him three resident podcasts on Swiss radio station Couleur3.

In 2024, Reda joined the Fauve Radio collective, created by an artist he deeply admires, Romain FX, further strengthening his ties to the international scene. As an artist on the rise, Reda Saiarh has established himself as a vital figure in the electronic music scene, driving projects that combine music and social engagement.

Brochure is a new collaboration between Gee Dee, Miles Felix, and Nick Stropko. For their debut release, they opted to cover Joking by Celine Lomez, originally featured in Soft Rock for Hard Times Vol. 7. Drenching the arrangement with synthesizers and opting to record the tune half-time, Brochure recontextualizes the song into a longing ballad.

Osprey 2 is the latest nom de guerre of @ryanmtodd aka Paul Atreides, Tom Guycot, Darklord Disco, half of Private Sea, founder of Going Home Records and an instrumental part of Universal Cave productions and parties for well over a decade. Osprey 2's Version Verrückt flips the longing ballad into a funky, driving krautrock number for Side B.

The @universalcave crew offers their Terrace Mix as a digital only bonus track. A stripped-down strummer for the summer, the Terrace mix is scenic overlook gear for the mind's eye.

On today’s edition of the show, Darone invites musician, producer, and DJ, Daniel Monaco (@danielmonaco). Daniel Monaco started his music career as a professional bass player and toured with big acts before becoming a solo artist. Daniel eventually manifested a fascination for Obscure Italo Disco, Acid House, 90s Trance & Techno that can be heard in his various Dj sets & productions .  It's something he calls a Cosmic Combination. Daniel created an Alias called Disco Mortale. Disco Mortale appears when his production get more Obscure than average, touching the strings of Techno EBM & Trance.
