I’ve been bouncin’ off the walls staying up all night.  Grandma said that liquor gets ya good and tight.  And I don’t have to wonder ‘cos it feels alright to me.  You walk along and you shuffle your feet blind to the people that you pass on the street.  Windows down, music playing loud.  Picking out a bum tapping his foot in the crowd.  I’ve been bouncin’ off the walls and it feels alright.  I’ve been bouncin’ off the walls staying up all night.  I’ve been bouncin’ off the walls and it feels alright.  I’ve been bouncin’ off the walls and it feels alright.  Gambling in Vegas keeps me up all night.  Free drinks are flowing and it still feels fine to me.  Pick up your new hand and a champagne glass. Introduction in English:
A few years ago, one of my best friends almost died as a result of his alcohol addiction. One autumn day, almost exactly 20 years ago, I wanted to visit him in his small Berlin apartment, because I had not been able to reach him by phone for days and he did not respond to my mails. I was very worried about him. 
Since the door was open, I was able to get into his apartment, which was completely devastated and partly badly damaged. 
As I heard later, he had gone completely crazy after a repeated alcoholic excess. Neighbors had called the police, who then took him to the closed psychiatric ward. 
This low point in his life also meant a decisive turning point for him. Since that day, he has remained sober and has not touched a drop of alcohol. 
During one of our musical jam sessions this year, he asked me to write a song that would help him to better understand this time of self-destruction and to integrate it more into his life story. 
The result is this song "Naked".....

Nackt (Naked)

Joined here by two of my favorite SoundCloud musicians, Germany's Georg Boehme on baritone sax and Norway's Will Paasche on synthesizer.  These guys as simply superb musicians and together we tackle our original, Dramatic Chromatic.  Both soloists push things out in a dramatic fashion and help create the edge that is maintained throughout the music.  Georg is on fire from the start and has created the opening statement with three Bari lines together.  And when Will jumps in look out, as he too soars and then pushes the boundaries of what is capable on synthesizer.

I wanted to give you something tangible, solid poetry to hold.  Not to make it right, only to let you know.  You left me to tend to my heart, now it’s broken, I’ve fallen apart. I can make it on my own.  Critical of this secret mess, can’t escape it nonetheless.  It stays with me like an ailment, clouding the visions in my head. 7am on a spring morning at Blessington Lakes in County Wicklow and all was still, suddenly i heard the most amazing sound that broke the silence, 2 amazing white swans flew out of the mist with such gracefulness and power it took my breath away,  i wrote this song to try and capture the beauty and style of these amazing birds.
