Letter to a younger audience 

Look, listen I know what they're telling you,
And I know what they're teaching you 
And maybe I'm crazy, thinking of possibly reaching you 

But they feeding you the wrong things
Telling you that your worth is generated by the appraisal of ya gold chain.
If you ain't got the hottest sneaks then you so lame 
And your street cred is based strictly off your hoe game 

And if you want some respeck then bring a gun with you, kill these people off until they finished or they done with you 
They don't tell you how you lock when that one hit you.
Or how the block scattered when they said they'd run with you.

Then they play you reruns of the same story, started from the trap now we billboards, top 40.
As if your only way to make it is to move weight, stack bank, wait and use it to fund your mixtape 

They don't talk about the raids, they don't talk about the pain, they don't talk about the bloodshed, One dead, funs dead
Feds at your door knocking,  trying to get the "know" out ya,
Even though they been watchin,
Knowing that you goin in

I promise you it's more to life than what they sellin 
Ain't nothing wrong with education, or tryna be an exception

 I drive an 03 focus and I'm okay with that 
I'm working at target and managing 40, with that I make a check 
And I'm at cp for business, don't know what to do with that 

But what I'm saying is ... you got options 
Be careful what you let in you your mind, and take precautions 
We ain't all just ball players and rappers 
We all ain't just song writers and actors 

We more than that , forward that  

We aint all just gang bangers and clappers 
We ain't all just kingpins and scrapers 

Forward that we need more of that 

But they showin that, how you supposed to dream if they're promoting that,
Just make it look like you forever trapped inside your col-de-sac

But listen, you ain't gotta be apart of that 
Sellin drugs ain't the only way to make money 
Get you a job and guarantee that you'll go hard at that
And when you get it, stay humble, don't ever start stunting

Make a decision .... and stick to it
If you wanna be a cop or a lawyer than just do it,
But you've gotta put in that hard work, nothing comes easy 
The worst things in life are the ones that come freely 

But when it comes to the media and the television
Keep your guard up don't let them distort your vision
They half-truthin just fabricating the way they're living 
Feeding you poison for money I urge you not to listen 

I ain't sayin you can't listen to their music 
But I'm just warning you: be careful how you use it 
Some of these dudes got power and they abuse it 
Because Of that you're suffering, now In my conclusion 

Remember this message I don't want you To forget it, and every time that you hear it make sure you catching and feeling it cause it's venomous intent in the industry tryna strip you of Your innocence, don't let them finish it or make you feel like you ain't real as them 
Cause you ain't one of them or tryna run the gram, or tryna mug a fam or tryna make it seem like you're the money man, 
But tryna get a penny,  for the many that you running with and make them proud ...that you showed them how to win

This Spoken Word is for my women. For all those women that feel like a good man is hard to find and also may feel like they are any less beautiful because of what the "perfect" woman in the magazine or in the movies look like. You all are queens and you deserve to be treated that way.

This Spoken word is just about the fact that even though i may not have what you have or that i may not be the brightest crayon in the box lol, i am thankful for everything that i have been blessed with and you should  be too!
