The concept of the force in Star Wars is so applicable to the ecstatic dance and I absolutely loved creating this set for May 4th.

This mix is an exquisite journey through multiple genres and tempos, striking a balance between provoking emotion and heavy grooving.
 .
 My idea for this set was the balance and sacred dance of joy and grief, and the role these play in the story of humanity.
 .
 I had just gotten back from New Orleans, being with my grandmother and my family as she passed on. So this mix took a lot of strength and determination to deliver on the level of which i wanted to offer the community of dancers. And the theme of grief and joy was especially present. 
.
 The first 10% was planned and the last 90% was a freestyle, guided intuitively by the energy of the many dancers in the room.
 .
 In closing is an original sound healing track under my other moniker (more on this to come). I was also mic’d up with bowls and drums n such but that is not present in the recording.
. 
Probably my favorite mix I have ever done to this day.
 .
