It’s nearly the end of the month and we’re looking to get in the mood for the weekend early. Yes, after finally recovering from our New Years Eve exploits, surviving ‘Blue Monday’ and cancelling this year’s anaemic attempt at a health kick we’re ready to go out and have some fun and who better to put us in the mood with an exclusive mix than Memory9?

A quick look at the back story into Memory9's pathway into music reveals an interesting tale, starting off with a scholarship at the Berklee College of Music in Boston at the tender age of 17, where he collaborated with diverse acts ranging from jazz groups and Cuban musicians to hip hop MCs.

This experience with musical diversity is evident in Memory9's current new release, 'Red Falcon', and the EP's four tracks move between genres as varied as jungle, jazz, hip hop and footwork. Gadi himself is a trained jazz guitarist, and these elements of more traditional musical compositions are beautifully interwoven with sophisticated bassline beats and electronic samples. This organic combination of musical ideas has allowed Memory9 to develop his signature sound to compellingly explore a range of motifs. Inspired by the effect his colour blindness has on his perception of the colour red, the artist traverses images of dreams, desert planets, blood, lust and dust.

Neil Totton is a singer/songwriter, choreographer, performance artist and CEO of Totton Body Lab. His work blends music, video, fitness, storytelling and dance.   He made his national television debut as a contestant on Showtime at the Apollo. In 2012 he wrote, produced and self-released the mixtape Becoming Relevant. He also created the Becoming Relevant fashion concert at New World Stages in NYC. He was a featured performer at the 2nd annual Out in the Woods music festival in Greenwich, NY. In 2015 after a brief stint in the fitness industry he was selected by New York Magazine as one of their top-10 superhuman trainers. Merging music, video, and body-based movements Totton Body Lab (TBL) was launched as a unique performance art concept.  Online media outlets Complex, Men's Journal and The Root have invited him to create fitness content for their social media platforms. 
In 2018 he conceived and produced a fitness concert The Fit Prince of New York at Hub 17 in NYC. His short dance film Dancing Through Darkness was screened in association with the Dance Film Association at Gibney Dance in NYC. He currently resides in NYC and is recording and self-producing his debut album American Soul.
