Valencia-born Upercent's debut on Sum Over Histories is the EP 'Taula Baser', this four-track sonic journey is a notable addition to his already impressive discography, which includes releases on Innervisions, Kompakt, TAU, and Diynamic.

The EP starts with the heavy club anthem 'Revolta' ('rebellion' in Valencian), born from a memorable night in Munich, a groovy banger fueled by intricate rhythms. A hypnotic vocal motif sets the stage for the listener in Upercent's signature sonic realm.

Next up is ‘Contorsiona’, a mesmerizing journey driven by a pulsating rhythm, accompanied by hefty drums, urgent chimes, and warped vocals. Upercent builds tension towards a massive breakdown, leading to an energetic release and a captivating conclusion.

'Mussol' (owl in Valencian) is the penultimate track, evoking the tranquility of being a night owl. Upercent's unique touch is evident in its engaging simplicity, with mesmerizing percussion and a moody, solemn atmosphere that keeps you enthralled.

'Reminiscencia' concludes the EP with its relentless dynamism, this track unfolds deliberately, constructing an intricate sonic landscape that evokes a power and majesty. The introduction of a repetitive vocal midway intensifies the disquieting ambiance. A pervasive air envelops the audience in darkness as the EP reaches its conclusion.

Third Son may have only debuted in late 2014, but what a year it’s been since. Tapping into his instinctive musical heritage, the Londoner has already landed releases for the likes of Noir Music, Sincopat and Einmusika. And – continuing a already jet-setting touring schedule – his winter plans include gigs in Kiev, Berlin and Mexico City.

2016 promises to be even bigger still. The 25-year-old already has a host of releases planned (including work for Oliver Koletzki‘s Stil Vor Talent imprint, a full album on the way and a special live set of original material is waiting to be revealed.  Form/Void EP materializes itself in the form of four original tracks with Teenage Mutants on remix duties for Stil Vor Talent. We premiere Alaska which frames a colder and darker atmosphere, the artist masterfully uses synth chords to assemble a recurring ascending groove that ultimately leads to a soft release, Teenage Mutants puts on his remix hat on this track too which is also great!

trndmsk: What inspired "Apophenia"?

@arudeofficial: It was my usual day off. I woke up, made a coffee, and started working in my studio. I don't normally look for any inspiration, I just love to do it - writing music has become my habit.

Where and how did you record it? Tell us about the process, any cool tricks you did in Ableton, hardware used, etc.

I tried to find a new rhythm for my track. I guess I made it quickly. But the main thing was to create a dynamic track with a beautiful synthesizer in the lead roles. It was very difficult for me. I spent several days until I found the necessary sound. (...)
