Los escritores callejeros, al igual que los nómadas, asumen el caminar como acto simbólico donde se desarrolla una parte de la vida de su comunidad. En función de marcar la ciudad y determinados hitos arquitectónicos el grafitero ha desarrollado capacidades y recursos para construir sus propios mapas, nodos, atajos. Su geografía sufre un constante cambio, se altera con el tiempo en función de sus propios itinerarios y marcas (reales o virtuales), así como de las trayectorias, observaciones y marcas del observador, lo que implica una constante transformación del territorio citadino y sus representantes. Los mapas mentales de los grafiteros se construyen sobre hojas en blanco en la que sus trazos y recorridos conectan el hogar, paredes, plazas, espacios de encuentro y diversión, sitios de estudio, trabajo y amistad; todos, territorios y sitios que muchas veces se transforman a gran velocidad.»
